4BR Villa in Cozumel

Good, 2 weeks ago

Very good, only the issue of the water is of the utmost importance

I'm writing with someone who's about to book in mind, because it would have been helpful for me to read this before. There were six of us for five nights. The good: the kitchen service was excellent, the staff was very friendly, and the house was clean upon arrival. The difficult part was the maintenance. There is rust in the water outlets of several sinks and showers. The whirlpool bath has lint around the drain, and we prefer not to use it. There is moisture on the walls and ceilings of several bathrooms, and cracks in the kitchen, dining room, and hallway. We photographed everything from day one. We notified the host that same day and asked to change: we were hesitant about bathing and brushing our teeth with that water. There was no solution or alternative, so we stayed for the five nights. The beach and the location are beautiful and the place has a lot of potential, but for what it costs per night, you expect a different level of care. If you are about to book, ask for recent photos of bathrooms, faucets and tub. I hope this is helpful.

Beautiful house, but not ideal for a short weekend The house is beautiful! It’s a bit older than int looks in the photos, but very clean, well-equipped, and the ocean is stunning. The food was delicious. Also, the manager was very kind before our arrival, asking if we needed groceries or anything else. The only downside was the check-out. We went only for the weekend and wanted to enjoy Sunday, but from early morning they insisted we leave by 11 AM. The manager let us stay until 1 PM, but only to leave our luggage; we couldn't use the house or bathrooms. We had to use the outdoor shower and find other plans instead of enjoying the property. For a weekend trip, consider your last day is just breakfast and leaving. They are a bit too pushy about leaving almost as soon as you wake up, so I wouldn’t rent it again for a short stay. Other than that, everything was very pleasant.

Casa Frida was such an exceptional place to stay with family and friends! Its such a unique property with an interesting history. Great for adults and kids spending a long weekend, as well as a stunning backdrop for pre-wedding photos! We used all five bedrooms and all were spotless and very comfy. Bedding fresh and mattresses comfy. Floors, showers, sinks, everything was spotlessly clean. The staff were amazing! Guillermo, the co-host was so attentive, kind and helpful. Juan, the chef, prepared beautiful, healthy and delicious breakfasts for our group every morning. Citlali and the cleaning staff kept our rooms spotless and fresh smelling every day. There was nothing more we could have asked for!

Our group of two families (4 adults and 4 kids ages 5 to 11) stayed at this amazing villa. We loved having the pool and direct access to the beach/ocean. One of the best parts of the stay were the services and hospitality; the daily housekeeping was a delight and the optional added chef services are a must. Juan made us 2 amazing meals which everyone enjoyed - we should have booked more! The house manager, Guillermo, was very helpful and always responded quickly. We would absolutely stay here again!
