There were so many things we loved about our stay and a few easy changes would make it amazing! -Responsive team: Hernan is friendly and helpful. -Hire the chef for your meals: they're delicious and convenient and do the shopping, prep, cooking, and cleanup. -It is a cute rental with a good "vibe". -Cleanliness: Although there is a housekeeping service daily, we still found quite a bit of dust on things (counters in upstairs bedroom, kitchen dishes). -Several items need to be replaced throughout the unit. Ex - several broken lounge chairs by the pool. -Only 3 bedrooms were available to us. We mentioned this but the 4th bedroom was never unlocked for use. -The AC in the 3rd floor master is either going out or needs service, as it's exponentially less cold than other rooms in the house. We did mention this to the host but continued to have issues throughout our stay. It seems this is ongoing as something had clearly leaked down the wall from the unit leaving a visible liquid trail

This was a really nice place for our family vacation. It feels very private and the beach access is amazing. The pool is a nice size- long enough for laps and with a large shallow swim shelf for just lounging. There’s a large inside dining table with an adjacent sitting area, and and even larger outside dining table, and with another outside seating area with an L-shaped couch and several chaise lounges. The cleaning service is quietly efficient, and personal laundry service any (every) day is included. We also arranged (through the host’s representative Hernan) to have a taco & quesadilla dinner the night we arrived, which made that first evening, before we could go food shopping, so easy and relaxing. Hernan was friendly and helpful, met us at the house on arrival, responded whenever we had questions, and made sure that we were settled in that first afternoon. The A/C in each room all with individual controls was a definite plus. We are already considering coming back next year.

We were looking for private pool and beach front. There was so much sargasum in the water that we didn’t go to the beach which was a bummer. We did enjoy the pool. The shallow area of the pool is VERY slippery. One of our crew slipped and landed dangerously in the pool. Luckily he was OK. I would recommend a warning about entering the pool from the slopped area. The unit needs some love, glued together sink and broken chairs aren’t expected given what we paid for the 4b/4b. The grounds are cluttered with debris which is a major eyesore and likely why there are no pictures of the outside of the unit. Hernán was great/ responsive and the cleaning staff was efficient.

Host Response

Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad you enjoyed the pool and that Hernán and our cleaning team provided responsive service during your stay. Sargassum is a natural seasonal condition that affects the entire coastline and unfortunately is beyond our control. While it can impact the beach experience, conditions often change from day to day. We appreciate your comments regarding the pool entry, furnishings, and exterior grounds. We’ll review these points with our maintenance team as we continue making improvements to the property. Thank you again for staying with us, and we wish you all the best.

This home was perfect for 8 of us. All three generations loved it. The kids spent hours each day in the pool and snorkeling just a short walk down the beach. The grandparents enjoyed relaxing by the ocean and frequented the beach club next door for food & drinks. The daily cleaning and laundry made the trip so much more enjoyable for me - one less thing for mom to manage! When booking I was a little worried this would be one of those listings that didn’t live up to the photos. But it totally did! Everything was beautiful. We had such a great stay, that I began looking at dates for a return trip before we even checked out. The only (minor) downside was the north end location. Though very peaceful we missed being close to town. We spent quite a bit on taxis and didn’t show the teens as much of the town as I had hoped. I can’t imagine there is anywhere closer to centro that offered everything this place did. So we felt the location was still a very worthy trade off.

This was our first time staying at Kristopher's condo, but our third time staying at Peninsula Grand so we are well acquainted with the advantages it provides. We love the infinity pool that looks over the private beach with palapas on the Caribbean. LOVE Angel, the cook on the beach who makes amazing ceviche and pina coladas! Our concierge, Hernan, was indispensable & communicated immediately with all our questions. He helped us secure a fishing charter-we caught Mahi that Angel prepared for dinner. Hernan arranged our massages in our condo; don't miss the best massage ever for much less than others you have to visit. Best of all, NO seaweed on this side of the island!!! You must visit Casa Kinta, gourmet fare on the water, La Choza for great variety, and Coco Cafe for the most amazing breakfast & coffee. All of which Hernan recommended. Car rental helpful. Loved the condo's furnishings, comfy beds, & two patios. Check to make sure you have access to Angel before booking

We enjoyed our stay at Casa Delfin! It was the perfect size for our family of 8. Our kiddos loved the private (shared) pool and the beach was easy access from the property. Hernan did a fantastic job recommending local restaurants and activities for our family - we even rented jet ski’s and ordered food/drinks from Coco’s beach club right next door. Casa Delfin is roughly 2/3 miles from the main attractions so renting a vehicle/scooters or taking taxi is probably best. We did a day trip to Chankanaab Beach Club for snorkeling the reefs and relaxing in the sun which Hernan recommended. Lots of local restaurants and shops around the main plaza is walking and people watching is your thing. The casa cleaning service and laundry daily which was great. Lastly, we had everything we needed to cook breakfast, lunch and dinner. We would come back and stay again and would recommend to others as well.

Beautiful home on the beach! Daily cleaning service was a bonus. Host was extremely responsive and had great recommendations. Helped to organize massages at the house. Highly recommend!

My wife and 8 year old daughter stated there for a week and loved it. The unit itself is well maintained, with a clean, minimal design that is very comfortable and inviting. Daily housekeeping service was great, so we always had a tidy space, fresh towels and clean dishes. And the co-host, Hernan, is extremally friendly, helpful and responsive. The building itself is also well maintained, with a pristine heated pool, a nice man-made beach with easy ocean access and plenty of loungers. There is also a great onsite chef with a kitchen and covered dinning area right on the ocean. You can order off a set menu, but if you give him advance notice he'll gather materials and prepare anything you want. The location is great, feels aways from everything but only a 5 minute drive to the middle of town. We can't wait to come back!
