This place is plain amazing. The views off the balcony are stunning. We literally spent hours there watching the wildlife and the incredible ocean views. The place is a really neat layout. Downstairs carport with a semi auto washing machine and clotheslines. Upstairs you find a very open area with a kitchen and living space including hammocks indoors. Plus the balcony. Two rooms on either side of the kitchen with a shared bath in between. The master bedroom upstairs is just amazing, the views are incredible. Very comfy beds, good a/c in all rooms. The power did go out a few times but this is par for the course out there, cuz it’s remote and all worth it! Our host was out of the country but extremely responsive and an onsite housekeeper made herself available for anything we might need. They were both great. Thank you! Pura Vida!

This place has an amazing view, we enjoyed it a lot. It is close to Pavones, good stay for surfing.

One of the greatest places I have ever stayed!

Incredible views, private, and close to the beach. Wonderful hosts. Punta Banco is off the beaten path, but that's part of the charm. We had a great stay. Lovely place.

The setting and view form this house are spectacular! The house is less than five minutes to the beach but still has a view over the treetops to the Golfo Dulce and the Osa Peninsula beyond. Lots of wildlife to see from the comfort of the hammocks or the front porch. Punta Banco is a gem, the kind that are getting harder and harder to find in a hyper-connected, well-travelled world. The host is equally outstanding. Frie checked on us as we drove down the coast to the Pavones area and was waiting at the end of the road to guide us into the right driveway as we arrived in the dark. She was quick to provide suggestions for local food and hikes and was always happy to see us on the road to the local soda. All around great!

We just had an incredible time in this fantastic house! Words can hardly describe what a paradisiacal place this is. The house is a dream, the view breathtaking, the path to the beach short, the beach paradisiacal, the village quiet & local, in short: pure relaxation! A thousand thanks to Frie & Ricar! They welcomed us very warmly & for the whole month they were there for us if there was anything. Thank you very much!

Frie and Ricar are very welcoming and accommodating. We were personally taken to the house and all house details were carefully explained to us. They continued to welcome our questions and provide us with plenty of useful information. The best part was finding that the house, although it appeared in photos as a long walk from the beach, was only 5 minutes away. We would definitely stay there in the future for a much longer period of time.

We had a fantastic time at Punta Banco; the house has a great location and a beautiful view . The house manager was incredibly helpful, kind and fast to reply; overall great service and communication. They even allowed us to do an early check in, as we wanted to surf at arrival . Anyeli the cleaner of the house was super kind as well; everything was immaculate and she even gave us extra towels . I strongly recommend staying at this villa; we most definitely come again . We recommend the house on the hill, the local was incredible and the host very accommodating. the sounds of the ocean and jungle, birds, surfing top location. the Italian restaurant was incredible with fine foods and staff! cannot recommend the punta banco enough if you are adventurous, without kids and just want Pura vida!

We loved our stay in Punta Banco. The house is spacious, comfortable and clean with incredible ocean views. We really enjoyed watching the sunsets from our balcony and walking down to the incredible beach nearby and swimming in the tidepools. We saw a lot of beautiful wildlife including monkeys, agoutis, morpho butterflies and many species of birds. Our hosts Frie and Ricardo were amazing and made our stay so enjoyable and memorable. They were super welcoming and accessible and had a lot of recommendations for things to do in the area. They even showed us some great surfing spots. The people of Punta Banco are friendly and the community is tranquil and ideal for a relaxing stay in nature. We would definitely recommend this house and look forward to coming back again in the future.

Ricar and Frie were the most communicative, generous hosts ever. The house is absolutely stunning with a really beautiful view. I have been to Pavones several times and this location, although further from the main break at Pavones, is the most stunning. The views of the ocean are incredible. We had 3 species of monkeys at the house and incredible birds, coatis and agoutis too. Hot water would be a nice touch in future but this does not detract from the experience. There is an outside shower too which is awesome after a surf. One room has really nice A/C and I like having one room with A/C and one without as I prefer no A/C but my kids loved it. Will definitely be back. Thanks to our amazing hosts!!

The perfect place to stay in Punta Banco is with Frie and Ricardo....perfect accommodations and location and value. I cannot wait to go back.

Everything was perfect since the first message I’ve sent. Great comunication and coordination to check in. The place has an AMAZING ocean view, and best Sunset spot in town at the balcony. Very big, clean house. Everything was flawless with Fast Wifi, microwave, blender, coffee maker, and a complete kitchen. You can cook and catch the sunset at the same time. It also offers a 360 view to there is jungle where you can spot Monkeys, all kind of birds Tucans, Macaws, and much more, without moving from the house. We stayed for 1 month and was amazing, and the surf is amazing here also. Great waves!
