4BR Villa in Akumal

Great

Our stay in Akumal for 10 days at Gina's Casa de la Brisa was one of our most memorable trips ever. We were extremely happy with all aspects of our stay. The house was gorgeous with so much room for our family of seven to spread out and really relax. We were very impressed with the chef Gina recommended (Richard) and each dish he made for us was amazing. We all agreed having Richard cook for us was a major highlight and we will be referencing our meals and Richard for years to come! Having daily maid service really kicked up our pampering level, too! We traveled during the most humid time of year, but having the AC units for sleeping and cooling off at the end of the day made it bearable. The seasonal seaweed was handled daily by a crew and it was not an issue at all. We will miss our quiet morning coffees on the loungers facing the ocean and our family swims. I highly recommend Casa de la Brisa as a place to really unwind, be pampered, and make family memories.

We loved our stay at Casa de la Brisa for our family vacation! It was easy to navigate to, and we felt safe. The place was amazing - we had a blast with the kayaks, ping pong, billiards, and more. The kitchen is stocked with lots of appliances, like crockpots and blenders, but does not have a dishwasher. The staff was kind. We had a slight issue with one of the bedroom AC units, but things were resolved with a few messages to the host (even late at night), a visit from the groundskeeper, and later a full replacement. We would recommend this place!

We had a wonderful stay at Gina’s house. We especially loved the house and comfortable furniture. It was the perfect setup for our family. We appreciated all the small details added to make our stay enjoyable. Mari Cruz and Alberto were very welcoming and helpful. Chef Richard prepared many delicious meals for us during our stay. The kayaks were fun to use. There was more sargassum than expected during this time of year, but it was still a fantastic trip. We did walk down to Akumal bay and snorkeled with sea turtles- a highlight of the trip. If we did it again, we would consider renting a car as all taxi/shuttle services were pricey. I would definitely recommend Gina’s place to others!

Casa de la Brisa was a great choice for our family's holiday getaway! Right on the water, kayaks, beach loungers, gorgeous pool, ping pong, pool table, stocked with board and card games - tons to do! And Gina put us in touch with Chef Richard who was able to stock the place for us before we arrived and kindly prepared a few delicious meals during our stay! There's a great breeze off the beach and AC if you need/want in each bedroom! Fantastic house with gated parking on a private road just south of Akumal, great for snorkeling and using as a base for area exploration.

The location is so beautiful and the house is really great for a large group. We loved that there was shampoo, conditioner and body wash already there; that is so convenient. The space was super clean and well kept. Lots of storage in the bathroom and in the rooms that was really great. The outdoor space was also great, we spent a lot of time there. The filtered water in the kitchen was a nice touch. The staff was amazing; the daily housekeeping is really a privilege. These kinds of details really make a difference.

The Casa de la Brisa was a spectacular villa to host our family vacation. We comfortably slept 9 adults and 3 babies for a week during a blissful stay. The rooms were spacious, the shared space was perfect for relaxing, watching movies, cooking, and the outdoor space was great for hanging. While the Villa was fantastic, the people were even better. Gina was extremely responsive throughout with recommendations, Chef Richard cooked us extraordinary meals every night, Mari Cruz was a delight and even babysat the children a couple times (extra cost), and the Villa was cleaned every day. This allowed us to fully focus on being with family and embracing all the adventures of the region. Do keep an eye on Sargassum as that effects how accessible the ocean is from the apartment, but that's out of the staff's control and doesn't effect the backyard pool setup. Don't hesitate to book Casa de la Brisa for your next gathering, it's worth it.

Casa de la Brisa was an outstanding experience for my family and I for the week. Location is private and secure. Only saw a handful of people all week. Access to the neighborhood is gated, the home is gated as well. Beach experience was outstanding. Yes, there is sargassum in the summer, but based on where this home is situated vs the prevailing trade wind/wave/current direction, you miss the bulk of it. Water is easy to access and we were pleasantly surprised to find a gold mine of snorkeling and reef life to explore just feet from the property. Home is well cared for with the gardener and housekeeper tending daily. Overall, the photos don’t lie, this is an elite property on an elite coastline. While visiting, we rented a car from America Car rental at Tulum, did our own grocery shopping at Chedraui in Tulum, drove to Chichin Itza, cenotes and other attractions. Plenty of great places to eat in nearby Akumal beach. Gina is a wonderful host and we would stay again!!

Somehow this was even more beautiful than the pictures. The housekeeping staff ensured everything was perfect and spotless both prior to our arrival and for the duration of our stay, and it had everything we could possibly need. It was a great fit for our family (ages 6 up to parents). The street is quiet, and we loved how you could just walk out into the ocean from the backyard or up the beach to where there’s more sand (for those who preferred building sand castles). We also appreciated all the equipment available for use, from snorkeling gear to kayaks. It was the perfect vacation spot to relax but was also near enough other things (pyramids, cenotes, etc.) that we could do other things, too.
