Beautiful place! A group of 9 friends, each with their own room and private bathroom. Beautifully chosen furnishings, and fully equipped with everything you could need.

It really is an amazing place. VERY clean, comfortable, spacious. The photos don't do justice to what you will really experience. Fernando's service is always a 10. The issue with the beach, where you have to go down the side, is not at all uncomfortable and it is very accessible. This house is worth every penny invested. I'd go back without hesitation. It's like having your own private beach. The super calm waves, the views and more. Congratulations on having such a spectacular place.

We were a family of 8 adults and 3 children. Everyone had their own bedroom and private bath. The kitchen is well appointed and there was plenty of dining space. The pool and hot tub were we well maintained and a nice resource after beach time. There was plenty of snorkel equipment, beach chairs and umbrellas. Snorkeling from the beach in front of Sonrisas was amazing with a wide variety fish. You could not ask for a better host than Gwyneth. Fernando was out of town, but stayed on top of anything that we needed via telephone. The airport shuttle service was excellent. We rented two ATV's from Fernando that were a big hit. They were ideal for trips to town and the beach. We contracted Lucy to cook us 3 excellent dinners. Manuel was attentive to our every request and he even made a special delivery of pizza for our traditional Friday night meal. We caught tuna on our fishing charter. We highly recommend Casa de Las Sonrisas.

A perfect spot for our group of 11!

The house is very nicely decorated and appointed. It had everything we needed to cook meals for 13 people. A great place to hang out. Beach was great. Fernando was very helpful and recommended good people to take us fishing. Internet was fine. We had a wonderful vacation. Thank you all who are involved.

The property is beautiful with gorgeous ocean views. The kitchen was extremely well equipped and we enjoyed a catered home cooked meal our first night thanks to visiting chef Lucia, who the crackerjack caretaker Fernando arranged. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub and all the beach amenities: beach chairs, umbrellas, and snorkeling equipment. Don’t miss a chance to swim with the fishes—gars, parrot fish, and myriad others. The master bedroom is spectacular, bigger than most NYC apartments with a fantastic full jacuzzi bath and shower and there’s a large covered porch. All the other bedrooms offer great furnishings and a real sense of privacy. We would love to visit again!

La Casa de las Sonrisas is marvelous. Fernando was a great resource and answered all of our very many questions. The home itself is beautiful, well laid out, with all the things you need for enjoying yourself. We did have an issue with the plumbing pretty early on and it evolved into a very large problem by the end of our stay to the point where everyone in the main house had to use the bathrooms in the casitas and the kitchen sink was backing up as well. They did get someone out within a few hours to start working on the problem, but it did put a damper on the final day/night of our stay. Another issue we had was beach access, where apparently the property next door owns the space directly in front of the house so we had to go via a staircase to the side and through an abandoned looking lot to get to the beach rather than just being able to access the beach directly in front of the property. This made moving SUPs and kayaks precarious.

Our family absolutely loved staying here with our 2 kids. The beach is gorgeous, safe, and a short walk from the house. The house has so many nice spaces and plenty of room for multiple families or one large one. Th host Fernando was amazingly supportive and flexible. The chefs made us perfect local meals. There were kayaks, paddle boards, beach toys, chairs, and basically everything you need to enjoy the beach. The hot tub and pool were very clean. I can't say enough about this place. Book it now.

Casa de la Son recess is an incredibly beautiful home perch high above a beautiful Sandy Beach on the sea of Cortez. The pool and the grounds of the property were incredibly lovely and our three families thoroughly enjoyed hanging out on the beach together as well as on the patio. The rooms were well appointed and very comfortable for our size group. We hired a local prep cook and enhanced the overall experience of our vacation by having someone to handle shopping food preparation and cleanup. I highly recommend doing this so that you can completely enjoy a beautiful vacation at CASA de la Son Reese. Fernando and The house owner were super responsive and helpful. I am missing the hot tub overlooking the ocean and can’t wait for our next trip.

As much as I want to write a bad review so my friends and I have an easier time booking this home again, I have to tell you that this was easily the best Airbnb experience I've ever had. You must be ok with traveling down a dirt road but that is more than rewarded at the end when you get to enjoy this spectacular home. As all the other reviews that mention Fernando and his team are spot-on. They took care of any needs and hooked us up with Lucy for a wonderful meal, delivered side-by-sides right to the home for us to enjoy (side-note on the side-by-side, don't be cheap like us and just go with all Talons! They're very much worth the cost). There are always some quirks with the rental homes like water temperatures in some showers not being hot enough for you know beds not being perfect but who really cares this home is like a resort for you and your friends/family. We will be back!!!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Incredible beachfront stay on the Sea of Cortez We had an amazing stay at this beautiful beachfront property. The home and casita were perfect for our group traveling together — plenty of space, comfortable, and very well maintained. The location is outstanding. The beach felt incredibly private and peaceful, and waking up each morning to the sunrise over the Sea of Cortez was absolutely unforgettable. Sitting outside with coffee watching the sun come up over the water quickly became our favorite part of the day. A special thank you to Fernando, the caretaker, who was extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay. He made sure everything was taken care of and really added to the overall experience. If you’re looking for a relaxing beachfront getaway in Baja with incredible views and privacy, this place is hard to beat. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it. We can not wait to return.

Every single aspect of our time at Casa de las Sonrisas was absolutely wonderful. The house, the location, the views, the comfort. Above all, having Fernando as the direct contact to answer every question and promptly fulfill any request was the best. And he does his job kindly and with a smile (maybe this is why is named "Casa de las Sonrisas" :)). Chef Lucy and her team (also always wearing a warm smile) put together a delicious menu for our super special family event. Thank you Gwen for opening your beautiful house to guests and for having such an amazing team!

I can't say enough great things about our stay. The home was incredibly beautiful. The home offered everything that we needed to have a great time. Fernando was wonderful, very responsive. Both Manual and Rafeal were a pleasure to work with. I pray we get the chance to visit again in the future.

A beautiful place to stay! Fernando and Manuel were always responsive and helped anytime we needed anything. We felt safe with our kids and had to beach to ourselves most of the time. To be able to snorkel and swim without having to go anywhere is amazing. Having side by sides delivered to the house was a game changer for us this time. Thank you for such beautiful home to make memories as a family. We will be back!

We loved the house, we enjoyed each of its spaces, the jacuzzi, the pool and its large kitchen, an excellent option for large families, there were fifteen of us and everyone had their own space. Fernando was super friendly and attentive to each of our messages. 100% recommended
