The casita is just as described in the photos. It is located in an upper area next to the Centro de Puerto Viejo, in the middle of the mountain, which makes the place cooler and much peace. It should be considered that it has a comfortable price and must be resilient with the things that are available in this casita as it is designed for short stays. The place was clean and tidy and has the basics, to be able to cook and refrigerate food. They were attentive to answer any questions we made immediately. We only found a few small things that can be improved as the shower was a bit clogged by the water minerals, but that was less. Maybe what you should pay attention to is at the exit of the sewage since there is a smell of standing water, due to the siphon being almost at ground level and does not allow the water trap to form that prevents the gases from rising. Outside of this, everything was great

We stayed for a month and that may have been too long. I was aware they were not used to long term. Beautiful view from back porch. The hill was my workout every day! Nice pool and the neighbors were very friendly. There was a sewer smell in bathroom we plugged the sink and didn’t use it. No smell. Lot of dogs and barking all the time. All in all we enjoyed our stay. We are very adaptable as most people should be as they travel. Remember you are not at a 5 star resort! It’s so close to everything. I am 62 and loved the challenge of walking the HILL! I would stay again but not for 4 weeks!

Beautiful, cozy house with pool! Wonderful view on the sea. Center and beach reachable in less than 5 min. by car. Communication great! I recommend a car with 4 wheel! It is also feasible without 4x4, but then do not stop.

Nice view from the place. If you don't plan to spend a lot of time at the house, it's good to get to rest after a day at the beach. The pool is located at the top of the place, next to the orange booths. It's a space shared with neighbors. The street is cobblestone, so it is somewhat difficult to access the house with a car other than a 4x4. Kitchen supplies could be better but they are functional for cooking something simple. Bathroom is tight by the small size of the house. It doesn't circulate much air, so the smells stay in the bathroom for a long period of time.

A simple cabin but it has everything you need to be comfortable and have a good time! I think they have to improve a few details but overall the very good experience!! View from the cottage is amazing! It is recommended to go in 4x4 because access is a bit complicated, especially if there is mud.

The Airbnb was difficult to get to, being at the top of a steep road that is all rocks. Make sure you have your own to get there as the taxi drivers had difficulty getting there and some got upset (not at the fault of the host). However the view is absolutely gorgeous and worth it.

The house is very cozy with a spectacular view! Very close to downtown Puerto Viejo and easy to access! We loved it again!
