This house is most beautiful in design, features and location. The stunning views, the beautiful flora and fauna were just amazing. We watched Tucans and Colibris from the pool. We enjoyed the privacy of a remote location yet had all the amenities and still felt adventurous. Host and local team were fantastic. We travelled some more in Costa Rica and found Uvita to be the best base for tours and exploring.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Had a few problems that where addressed right away. The place is high up in the hills with a great view of the Whales Tail. Lots of wild life like Tucans, monkeys, coades as well numerous birds and butterfly’s. You do need a 4 wheel drive. Appreciated the use of the Beach chairs and Umbrella. All in all very happy

Private, pristine, secure, all amenities you'd ever need. Grounds and pool were impeccably clean. Bedding and furniture were comfy. We saw white faced monkeys, coatis, blue Morpho butterflies and toucans. All these were beautifully backdropped by the whale's tail at Marino Bahia Ballena. This home's architecture, construction, decor, and use of space was the best blend I've seen here in the southern zone. The house is even more spacious than the photos show. We had a group of 7 adults and it was perfect. Plenty of shops and restaurants at the bottom of the road in Uvita. 4x4 is a must. The trip up and down the mountain to the property is scenic as well. I'd definitely book this place again.

We had a fun time! We stayed a week and there were 8 of us. Had everything we needed. The house and the outside are very clean. It's a beautiful place. Beautiful view of the whale's tail. Spectacle of howler monkeys, toucans and all other kinds of birds. A 4x4 car is required to get there. Pura Vida!

This house is beautiful: exceptional views, comfort and luxury await. We are a family of 8 including 3 children and the space was perfect. We had some minor household problems and Esteban was very responsive. Recommended

Casa Laka is a terrific house and property. Everything is exactly as it is described and appears on the listing. Benjamin and Cris (and Esteban) were terrific in communications and assisting in getting to and opening the house (upon arrival) and I cannot recommend this property and this team enough. The house is very clean, quiet, and situated high on the hillside with great views of the beach and ocean down below as well as the rainforest jungle surrounding the area. I have rented several houses/properties in the Uvita area and would put this at the top of the list. From the day I booked the house to the moment we left, it was a completely transparent and seamless experience and the property is terrific. I will be back and highly recommend this listing to anyone reading this review.

Very comfortable house with a direct view of the whale tail. There was plenty of space for our group of 6. The house has everything you need for a relaxing beach week. We became expert naturalists of the area, spending days and evenings on the patio, watching the birds and researching the plant life. The hosts went above and beyond to make sure our questions were answered quickly. I especially liked that someone met us in town upon arrival to lead us up to the house. I would stay at Benjamin's place again.

We enjoyed a wonderful week at Casa Laka! The view & jungle sounds surrounding the home were a vacation dream. We found the rooms comfortable (nice beds, fans & ac). And we appreciated Esteban & Cris’s help during our stay. For those traveling with kid’s, our 5-year-old loved watching animals from the pool! Definitely a home he won’t soon forget.

Secluded, place higher up the mountain, with an incredible view of the whale’s tail. Waking up with the sounds of the jungle, and a lovely house. We had some appliance issues during the week, but the team looked after us very well and fixed them swiftly. Absolutely loved the place!

What an absolute wonderful vacation spot. We brought friends for their first visit to Uvita and they just loved it. We heard holler monkeys, saw Toucans, hawks, capuchin monkeys, and lots of birds. The view was just awesome and couldn’t have picked a better place. We all had our own rooms which was nice. The drive up to the house is a little rocky but not bad at all. We hope to be back.

We loved our stay! Great location that is a short drive to the restaurants and beaches. We loved having a beautiful ocean view and being surrounded by jungle and wildlife. The house was extremely well maintained and clean. We would definitely come back!
