First day was great, John was very responsive and quickly addressed the broken shower. The property manager was also very helpful, when I asked about support for mosquitos they brought over a plug in within the hour. There was no mosquito net as in the pictures and there wasn’t one available when I asked. My cabin was not sealed from the outside so there were wasps and bugs flying through the room the whole time I had a relaxing time but did wake up the second day with over 30 bug bites all over my body which is not fun.

Beautiful sunset views + very private and empty beach. Location is quite deep in there. Going in and coming out of this place to Leon Couple of times it’s not very practical.

This stay was incredibly wonderful. We were assisted in getting transportation. The man picking us up at the top of the dirt road even spoke on speaker phone to our non English speaking taxi to translate for us. He arranged that the driver help us to the supermarket. We arrived very late and they were right there waiting to let us in our hut. The hut was so amazing, rustic, outdoor, right on the water with breathtaking view and sound to wake and aleep to. And last but never least, The staff! Heidi and her family that took care of our things and cook for us welcomed us and made me feel at home. This would not have been as nice a stay without the experience from her and familia! Thank you!!

First off I’m not the type to usually write negative reviews but this place needs to do better… we had no water in the faucet or shower…Wi-Fi sucked….they left no towels for us…..main bedroom lights didn’t work…..ad claims there is a restaurant but there isn’t…and the person running this hotel didn’t even respond when I let her know that we had no water so we had to go shower somewhere else….I stay in ALOT of Airbnbs and this is my first time ever even having to write a bad review in an Airbnb but this place and their management need work

We really enjoyed our stay at Tesoro Beach. Especially when you are looking for a quite place where you can hang out in the hammock reading a book, catching some waves or doing sunset beach walks. We stayed in one of the cottages and we had a lot of space as well as a kitchen for ourself. At the moment there is no restaurant as well as no supermarket so be prepared to bring your own food & drinks. The owners live close by and will help you with any of your questions. They also picked us up with the motorbikes from Salinas Grandes. The local busses will bring you from León (Estacion) to Salinas Grandes. At the moment it looks like they are planning some projects to restore the vibrant character of the area.

We had a great time in Tesoro!! Lovely people, great views, awesome beach, good waves to surf, wild horses, cow's.... Lean back, relax and enjoy the sound of the ocean!! Sara can cook nice meals for you but also bring your own food cause grocerie stores are far! We will be back!! Thanks Geoff!!

Great location with at least 5 kilometers beach without other people. They have created a kind of family feeling here with all the people staying here in the different houses. The atmosphere is very nice and friendly staff. The cabana is top. The bed is wonderful, a private fridge for items that you take with you in advance. (you can't buy nearby, so highly recommended to bring some food and drinks in advance). Bringing water is not necessary, you get that there. The experience is very fun and special, a real recommendation. The place isn't quite finished yet, but it has a lot of potential. Not all facilities are available yet, which are described. The only disadvantage we found the food. The food in the restaurant is simple (which is fine), but on the expensive side for what you get for it (250 for a small burger with fries. you have to choose between fries or salad). The amount of food is not much, and since you have to eat there every day because there is no other restaurants, this was a bottleneck. It would be nice if dishes were served from Nicaragua.

" Response: It was great to have you Iris. The homes have there own kitchen, so one can cook alone there. You were in a cabana, which has a fridge but no cooking. We do have a barbeque. An exterior brick Barbeque at each cabana is coming. Also, a common kitchen to be shared with staff is also moving along. Presently, we are working on the cabana 4 design which will include a simple kitchen. So, we progress. Thanks for all

Wonderful place! Very much off the beaten track, miles of deserted beach, the most incredible starry sky and the ocean on your doorstep, just what we were looking for. John and Geoff were both incredibly helpful with everything before and during our stay...and getting our baggage which was lost by the airline back to us!! Thorough maps, signs and driving instructions made it easy to find. Great food, music and company, a wonderful community feel, relaxed, laid back and welcoming. Thank you!

Our stay at John and goeff's cabaña was wonderful! It's really in the middle of nowhere but even without a car you will defintetively find your way to them. If you're looking for a beautiful and quiet place to loose track of time you're absolutely right at this place!

We loved our stay here and only wish it could've been longer! The cabaña is cosy but big enough for two, with ample space to relax on the veranda. We especially enjoyed the outdoor shower and the constant sound of the waves. John and his family were incredibly accommodating and let us borrow an electric BBQ most days so we could cook our own food. The beach is empty and idyllic; perfect for long runs during low tide. The staff are excellent and really make it feel like home. Hoping to come back soon!

It is literally a treasure trove for those looking for a relaxed and not very luxurious atmosphere, the value for money is great. Highly recommend you arrive in a 4x4
