We had a great time. It’s an easy drive from the airport, the beach is secluded and great for swimming, and the hosts are very responsive and helpful.

Our family of 4 had a fabulous stay at Villa Narciso! The location was incredible- we were just steps away from a beautiful secluded beach and the resort complex was also lovely. The pool and awesome bar/restaurant were also just a few steps away and the staff was super friendly. The food and drinks were delicious! We saw some beautiful fish there while snorkeling. The villa itself was spacious, sparkling clean, and had everything we needed. John and Jane were always available and very responsive. We also really appreciated their flexibility with our request to check in early. Overall, a fantastic stay in a beautiful spot with easy access to the many amazing sights and activities Costa Rica has to offer! We did 2 day trips to go zip lining, canyoning, visit hot springs, and swim to a spectacular waterfall. We also went horseback riding in the jungle and on the beach. Don’t miss this amazing gem!

One of the best locations we have ever stayed in! The pictures don’t do it justice! It was not just clean and spacious, it was paradise outside with the beautiful beach and the flowers. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The on-site restaurant was delicious. Town was 10 min away with a lot of fun excursions. We had an amazing time!

My family of 6 (kids aged 16,14,10 and 7) absolutely loved this place. The house was super clean when we arrived, everyone had their own bed and the views from the patio were breathtaking, we loved being just steps away from the beach, pool and restaurant. We snorkeled everyday and saw many fish, we also saw some monkeys in the trees one morning. When the beach got a little busy there were some people that would set up for the day on the grass close to the place. We loved the sunsets every evening and the kids loved the pool when they were done at the beach. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. The staff around the resort were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

Exceptional time with our family. Great secluded location, private beach. The residence itself was wonderful and had everything we needed. We cooked or had dinner delivered inside the villa every single night. Wonderful time in Costa Rica. Would highly recommend this hidden gem!

If you’re considering this place—just book it. This Airbnb perfect. The location is unbeatable, right on the beach, with the resort offering top-notch amenities. The on-site restaurant is excellent, and the staff throughout the resort are incredibly friendly and helpful. The beach is just 20 meters from the unit’s door, making it effortless to enjoy the sand and sea. The views from the unit are stunning, and spending time on the patio is the perfect way to relax and take it all in. The kitchen is fully equipped and surprisingly easy to cook in. If you're looking for nightlife or more dining options, Coco Beach is just a short drive away. Jackie and Carlos the concierges were an invaluable resource. They helped us book several excursions, making the process seamless—especially helpful given the language barrier and the challenge of finding reputable options. The beds were comfortable, and the unit had everything we needed. 5 stars—highly recommend! We’ll definitely be back

Great spot to unwind. Short drive to Coco and restaurants. The resort is well maintained. Not too crowded. Enjoyed our stay very much.

Our stay at Bahia Pez Vela in John’s Villa was divine! We enjoyed what was, essentially, a private beach and pool and restaurant on site all week long — as it was the off season so no one else was staying nearby. Let me tell you, enjoying the privacy of a beachfront villa was absolute perfection! The villa itself was incredibly spacious, clean, and well-appointed. We had everything we needed and more. The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms had lovely smelling soaps and shampoos, and the private patio was covered so we could enjoy it even in the rain. The staff at both the office and the restaurant nearby made our visit so full of ease, even helping us book a rental car for our stay. The guide book John provided was also invaluable — he has thought of everything. We brought along our four year old daughter for this trip and she was devastated to leave. We had a blast and can’t wait to come back!

We loved our stay at John’s place. There is nothing much better than being right on the beach and the water was mostly calm and perfect for swimming. Our multigenerational group of four was able to spread out and relax. The pool was about a 30 second walk from the patio and we really enjoyed the on site restaurant. We also found the guest guide to be very helpful. We are hoping we can return one day - Villa Narciso is pretty special.

Great place to stay. Unit was clean and the location was perfect.

We stayed at the villa for 6 days. These were the most relaxing 6 days we’ve had in a past few years. The villa is right on a beautiful black sand beach. You can snorkel right off the beach. Every night we feel asleep listening to the sound of the surf. The pool is also just a few steps away from the villa. To get to the villa we used an airport transfer service that Cesar at the office booked for us in advance. Highly recommended doing that. Cesar also booked a rental car for us that was delivered to the villa the next morning. The villa was very clean and had everything we needed for a relaxing vacation. Thank you, John and Bahia Pez Vela staff!

This place was perfect for our family of 5! We were a bit apprehensive at first not knowing the area very well and feeling like we were a bit far from activities, but with John, Cesar’s & Abi’s easy communication and assistance, booking activities, car and good directions we had the best 9 days we’ve ever had on vacation! The Villa is truly beachfront, open the doors and hear the waves, howler monkeys, birds & other wildlife. We were able to watch the howler monkey family playing in the tree right in front of the beach. Super awesome! The beach in front is amazing snorkeling early morning around the south side. I highly recommend the chef at the restaurant as he prepared a sushi dinner for us in the villa. He also cooked for us two beautiful meals from the Wahoo our boys caught on their fishing trip! We took the snorkeling tour out of coco beach and enjoyed many restaurants in town. It was a special trip and a special location. Would def be back! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We had a great stay. As a family of four, there was ample room to spread out. We enjoyed the community pool and it was easy to drive into town. We had two very minor issues, and the community office handled promptly. We definitely recommend.

Spacious, clean, and comfortable villa in a spectacular location. The resort facilities were great and the club restaurant was a highlight - delicious food and friendly service. We took a full day boat tour one day - pick up at the beach and then fishing, snorkeling and a beach BBQ - a real high point of our stay in Costa Rica. Host was friendly and flexible with check-in and check-out times and the staff in the office were very helpful organizing trips for us. Would not hesitate to return to Bahia Pez.
