The place is good. Fairly straightforward in has basic amenities. Not really a place to swim out front. No loungers or table outside to fully utilize the patio or deck. The bikes and kayaks were great. Close enough to Hopkins.

Very nice house, very practical except the locks are a little complicated. Very nice to have bicycles available to be able to go to the village without having to take the car.

This was a great spot on the beach! The bikes made getting into town easy. There were instructions for everything in the house and overall the stay was great.

El Sargasso changes the whole experience of a seaside cabin. We were unable to enjoy the beach due to the bad smell of the sargassum. I understand that it is an issue beyond the host's control, but it still depreciates the value of the cabin, which should be reflected in the price of the accommodation.

Hi Stefan, yes unfortunately we do not control sargassum and that is why our current pricing is about 30% off our regular pricing. Our operating costs remain the same so we can only go so low. Sargassum has been a big issue in Belize and Mexico this year so maybe reading up on destinations ahead of time would be helpful.

We had an awsome stay!!! Perfect beach spot. Everything we needed for our quiet, peaceful vacation. Caroline and Remi were very resposive to any questions that we had. I definitely would suggest others to stay.

Easy to find with obvious parking. The pictures are exactly what you get. The mosquitoes or things that bite were active so we appreciated the things provided to deter them. The viewing dock on the water is not in very good shape and could use some attention. The area to walk into the water had a lot of trash built up on the shore. It didn’t feel very welcoming to get in, so we didn’t. We did get to view some rays there in that area though! The house had everything we needed in the kitchen. The bed is extremely firm. There are no “whistles” or “bells”. While we usually like to support local, the last day we were staying- we were solicited 3 times at the door by locals selling things over a couple hours. We were trying to nap. Perhaps no solicitation signs, would be helpful in the future.

Thanks for your feedback. Unfortunately there a few things out of our control like bugs and the trash/sargassum that lands on our beach. We do have the beach cleaned up in between guests but yes ocean pollution is a global problem. As for locals coming by to sell foods or goods, this is how they make a living and something normal in Belize and we will respect that. We clearly state in our description that our place is simple - and as you mentioned yourself, pictures are exactly what you get.

Great house. Amazing deck for viewing countless birds. You can launch the kayaks there as well. Located South of the main Hopkins Beach area and very close to the Hotel District. Very peaceful place to stay. We had a car but they also provide bikes to get around. Road is paved to within 50 ft of there house. Very breezy but they also have AC if it gets too hot for open windows. Would definitely stay again - in fact we hope to soon.

Beautiful spot, we really enjoyed watching the sunrise every morning from the dock. The bikes were really useful as well. Everything is very bike able. The hosts were incredibly generous and communicative, when we arrived one of the tires on the bike was flat and they had it fixed within 12 hours which was amazing. We felt right at home, and it’s such a glorious spot, highly recommend.

Beautiful location and nice place to relax. It was the rainy season, so the bugs were a bit bad at sunrise and sunset, but we just stayed inside during those times.

A very quaint beach front house. Great location close to everything. Would highly recommend for a couple or even a single person.

We had an absolutely wonderful time at Sundial Beach House. It was peaceful, perfectly situated, kayaks and bikes were awesome and any questions we had were answered super quickly. We had an incredible visit and hope to come back and visit soon! Highly recommend!!
