Paradise in Hacienda Iguana. Immaculate architecture and landscaping. Modern amenities and comfort. Open living room is great place to observe wildlife (howling monkeys, white throated magpie-jays). Attentive staff that works behind the scenes. We would love to visit again!

The house is beautiful; its Brutalist architectural style blends in with the surroundings, and the host was super attentive the whole time. We've grown particularly fond of the robot that cleans the pool. “It's a super hard worker 😅😅”

Truly spectacular. The house itself is beautiful, exceptionally well equipped, and perfectly maintained. The architecture is striking, the surrounding nature is breathtaking, a profound sense of serenity envelops you the moment you step into the garden. However, what made our stay genuinely unforgettable was the people we met during our time there. Our 5 stars goes to Raul, he was an incredible host from start to finish. His attention to detail truly set this villa apart and elevated our entire experience. He was attentive, highly responsive, and genuinely invested in ensuring our comfort and enjoyment. By far, he is the best property manager I have ever encountered—professional, thoughtful, and an all-around fantastic person. Gaby was a godsend, everything was immaculate, Carlos took excellent care of the garden and pool, they were consistently kind and welcoming. We felt completely cared for, relaxed, at home and safe. We cannot wait to come back. Thank you it was unforgettable!

What an incredible stay at such a beautiful location. My husband loved the surfing and my kids loved the pool and beach’s. I would recommend staying here to anyone going to hacienda iguana. This house is a work of art yet so cozy. Thank you so much for the incredible place to make new memories.

The host is super responsive and nice, so I hesitate to be critical, but it’s clear the owner has not stayed in this place. It’s just not ready for guests. All the showers (indoor/outdoor) are dirty, the AC controls don’t have batteries, when proper batteries were installed turns out they were still broken with repairmen sharing our space for 12+ hours. The cleaning lady comes every day at 8:00am (fairly brutal, no matter what your schedule), there’s aren’t enough towels of any kind (kitchen, bed, beach), the locks on each casita don’t really lock (are rusted, or just spin), there was not laundry detergent or soap/shampoo of any kind. The outdoor fans never worked (also one in the kitchen). The kitchen has no AC so hard to cook in there. The pool is not filtered properly, so it’s not clean for more than an hour after the pool guys comes. In my experience with luxury vacation rentals, I expect more at this price point.

We are very sorry to hear about the unique circumstance that occurred during your stay. Our family “owners” enjoy time at Anahata for extended periods several times a year and work hard to ensure that the home is comfortable and welcoming. We take all feedback very seriously and encourage guests to provide feedback during their stay if anything is unsatisfactory so that we can address quickly, including adjustments to cleaning schedules, and assistance in locating or requesting additional quantities of items. Unfortunately during your stay an area power outage beyond our control impacted one of the five AC units, which we chose to service during your stay. There is an AC unit in the kitchen, however this typically goes unused since most of our guests prefer the fans in the common areas and free flowing air of Anahata. We like to remind our guests that Anahata is located in the jungle, and as such even though the pool is thoroughly cleaned daily there are still leaves that fall. The staff would be happy to remove fallen leaves upon request. We aim to balance privacy and cleaning schedules while accommodating guest preferences. While the beach is within a five to six minute walk, for those that may be inconvenienced we suggest renting a golf cart or bicycle to get around the community. We hope you enjoyed the many activities and suggestions that were shared in the welcome guide. Thank you for staying at Anahata, we appreciate the feedback and enjoy your travels!

We really enjoyed casa Anahata. It’s an interesting modern style - fully indoor/outdoor living. Beautiful pool. Located 5 minute walk from colorados surf break and fun beach club with volleyball. We would stay here again.

Tropical and Brutalistic. The house is temperate and comfortable. The howler monkeys swing through the trees above. It’s a short walk to the beach. Nature and Modernism perfectly merged.
