Can't praise the home and hosts enough. The location of the house is absolutely perfect with a view of the ocean while also being surrounded by gorgeous forest creates an incredibly peaceful setting. The house is clean and very well stocked. The master bedroom and bathroom are very comfortable and spacious. You get all the amenities of a modern home but in the middle of the Costa Rican jungle. We saw tons and tons of birds! All sorts of toucans, parakeets and hummingbirds (as well as all the ones identified by the Merlin app - bring binoculars!). We heard howler monkeys VERY close to the house several times, and saw families and solo coatis along the road nearly every day. The hosts are exceptionally helpful and responsive. They responded within seconds, answered all our questions, bent over backwards to help us - thank you so so much!

Fernando and John's house was fantastic. The sunset views were exceptional. And the stargazing at night was out of this world! Now, about those sunsets. My wife and I have been traveling to the southern zone of Costa Rica for many years and these were by far the best sunsets we've seen. It's true this house is a little higher up the mountainside than others we've visited, but that made the view massive and those sunsets incredible. It's well worth the little bit of extra effort to drive up the mountain. Fernando and John were top notch hosts as well. Very responsive and helpful all the way. Highly recommend. We highly recommend this home. It truly felt like a secluded paradise. Surrounded in natural beauty and sounds of nature with visits from the friendly jungle guests. Pura Vida!! You should be prepared for off-road driving conditions, which are part of the adventure of a Costa Rican getaway.

the Villa was more beautiful in person than in the pictures , taking a HOT outdoor shower on a cool , star filled sky night is a must....All the appliances worked perfectly and everything we needed, such as kitchen soap , scrubies , paper towels , toilet paper , etc was in abundance and easily found. Great couch for movie nights and a fun selection of dvd's. It all felt extremely secure , all locks and dead bolts functioned easily. I slept great there.

Excellent place

Fernando’s place was super relaxing. We felt right at home. Everything is exactly as described . Beautiful scenery . We caught a bit of rain while we were there but it just made our experience a lot more relaxing. Roads were a little rough heading up to the house but Fernando had given us different routes we could take . And also let us know we would need 4x4. Him and his team were extremely responsive and friendly.

We had a fantastic experience with Fernando and John. Well before our trip, Fernando was in touch with tips about planning our stay and inspiring photos from the villa. The villa was incredibly situated with stunning views of the hills and the Pacific ocean, with plentiful bird life and wildlife. It felt very remote. The house layout and decor was excellent. The high ceilings made it feel very spacious. The master bedroom is palatial with a comfy king bed. The hosts were some of the best we've had. They met us on the main road and patiently waited some time as we were delayed by a missed ferry. We appreciated being guided up the road at night very much as the road is very steep and rocky. Four wheel drive was definitely required which we were warned about before out stay. The natural beauty, wildlife and wonderful people around Ojochal make it our favourite place to visit in the world. Try the tours offered by Bahia Aventuras. Thank you Fernando and John. We can't wait to return.

Fernando’s place is great, super well equipped! We literally could find anything we needed in the house, we cooked all meals and the kitchen had everything we needed and in excellent conditions! The house is perfectly clean and has gorgeous views. Fernando is a great host always available and super helpful, 100% costumer service he even left a little gift for us! Tips if you’re coming: you do need a 4X4, the house is pretty high so the weather is a little cooler than down at the beach.

Great Place to chill - Birds / Critters galore. Killer views ! Just be ready for the half hour drive up the Mountain - 4WD a must - but it gets you seclusion on a whole different scale. Fernando / John / Diego very helpful
