Wow! This place is amazing! What a view! We walked in and the kids went nuts. It was an adventure for sure we had a wind storm like I’ve never experienced for three days and nights. We lost power and water but Grace and the grounds guy took such great care of us! Grace prepared us family friendly dinners and there weren’t any leftovers! We saw animals we don’t have at home! It was a blast! We won’t forget this one! Thank you Andrew and mostly the beautiful Grace♥️
We had a great time at Andrew's house. The house is a 5-minute drive from Carillo Beach on the heights It offers stunning views of the bay where you can enjoy magnificent sunsets The house is fully open to the outside which is rather pleasant there are many games for children: volleyball court, ping pong table, pool games, beach board... The big plus of the house is the presence of the two lovely girls who work in the house they were extremely kind, they took care of preparing very good meals for us, the cleanliness of the house during our absences. We recommend this house, if you want to spend a vacation with family or friends
An amazing property with stunning views in a fantastic area. The photos on the listing don't quite do it justice. It's a magnificent house.
We have just had a lovely week at Andrew’s place.. it was a family get together( three generations) for Christmas week.. There were seven of us and the house worked so well for all of us.. In particular for me, as I always feel responsible for providing meals and this time Grace did a fantastic job providing us with great meals..and keeping the house clean and running well. There was plenty to do in the area, surfing, swimming, walking on the beach, exploring Samara, zip lining, eating out at little places on the beach etc. We loved our stay and felt right at home there.. would not hesitate to recommend if you like peace, beautiful views, a lovely garden and great service.. We hope to return soon
This is the place for the best sunset views and the best meals around. We enjoyed our stay immensely!
Our stay at La Paila was the most enjoyable! We really felt like we were on vacation at this residence. The view is stunning and it's very relaxing at the top of this mountain. Above all, don't forget Johanna and Randal's wonderful work at the Villa. Without them, it wouldn't be the same. The meals are great and Randal responded right away to WiFi problems or for the crib. They are really great and make the stay even more enjoyable. Thank you for an unforgettable week!
This home is truly unique. By far the best home I’ve ever rented. It is beautiful, able to accommodate larger groups of people traveling together. The open air structure on the bottom floor is well designed. Several places for people to gather separately and chat or play games. Brisa, the house dog, seems to know it’s her job to love everyone. Marilu’s home cooking was the best food we had on our entire trip. Pre-stocking the fridge before arriving was such a treat! SUPERIOR home!
The price and the quality of the facilities are not according. The view of the property is amazing.
Andrew is very responsive. The sunsets over the Pacific are breathtaking. Mary Lou is great to have around for cleaning, and cooking. Brisa (the golden Lab) is lovely, if you don’t mind some dog hair around, and she does provide a sense of protection too. The drive to the house isn’t that difficult, and being up in the hills provides a great view of Samara bay. The bedrooms all have doors, and the main area with the TV and dinner table etc is covered but in open air, so you will be surrounded by nature. La Paila is a beautiful home.
As a somewhat frequent visitor to the Samara/Carrillo area we usually stay in Samara. There were 4 of us on this trip and I am so pleased we found this wonderful home. This is a listing where the pictures don't do it justice. The property is beautiful and the views amazing. Staff member Marilu was very accommodating. We had planned to be out more but sunsets, cocktails and Marilu's cooking kept us on the property. Thank you and we look forward to our next visit.
Our 6 people + 2 dogs trip was wonderful. The house has an ideal open ground floor, with both beach and mountain views. We enjoyed great sunsets from the pool. Andy is the best host we have ever had - very welcoming, thoughtful and accommodating. Marilu, the lady who cooks and cleans was the best. She cooks great meals, is very helpful and has a lot of initiative. We recommend not to follow the route suggested by Waze/google maps as it takes you through very complicated routes. Just get first to Playa Carrillo and look for the house form there. We will definitely go back!
Andrew is really nice and super reactive to any communication. We had a good stay. The location is great, the view is amazing, the space is nice to live in, the birds sing all day long. We would say the house needs a little work to make the stay 100% great. But globally it has been a nice experience.

Beautiful place !! Perfect to enjoy with family and friends !! 4x4 car is recommended in rainy times!! There is one person who collaborates with the daily cleaning of common areas and rooms. Also collaborate by cooking in exchange for a tip ( fee )
Everything was excellent, the house and the Marilú service. I look forward to coming back!
