This was our second stay at Dave's perfect perch in Dominicalito and we hope to return again and again. We have traveled extensively all over Costa Rica and this is by far the most beautiful stretch of coastline on the Pacific. The views are incredible, there's always a breeze up on the hill even on the hottest days, and the pool provides plenty of action for the kiddos even on a rainy day. The house is perfect for us, modern and comfortable enough to spend a lot of time with family, cook meals at home, and chill without feeling like we need to go anywhere. That you can walk to a nearby waterfall and the beach is a bonus. Thank you Dave for another unforgettable stay, we are so hapy we found you!

Hands down our favorite place we have ever stayed in Costa Rica. The sweeping views, the large decks, the breeze, the pool that stays nice and cool, and the location can't be beat, Walking distance to Dominicalito Bay and a gorgeous waterfall and swimming hole. We also loved Domincal, one of the friendliest and quaintest beach towns with great restaurants and a super laid back vibe. Dave went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and was super responsive. The house itself is open, bright, and airy with incredible views from every room. The decks off the bedrooms are a bonus as are the en suite bathrooms. Kitchen has everything you need. We were thinking about buying a place in Costa Rica and decided we'd rather rent Dave's place for the rest of our lives instead. Pura Vida!

Excellent house with amazing views! Loved the breeze throughout the house when all doors opened up! Didn’t feel like we needed the A/C until bedtime. Dave was very responsive to our needs. The pool was quite refreshing after a day of surfing and boogie boarding.

We had a wonderful time here. The view from the property is spectacular and the pool was very enjoyable. The property is located within a gated community and is only a few minutes drive from Dominical and local shops. Dave was very helpful from the first time I contacted him to book the property and then throughout our stay, offering advice and tips of places to visit. If you are looking for a secure and quite stay with amazing views, then this property is a must.

Amazing views. Calm and quiet. Easy access to everything from water falls, yoga, beach and more... Dave was very good communicating with us before the trip.

Dave was very friendly and helpful whenever we had a question and was quick to respond. He even invited us a to a local’s secret beach!

We stayed for a week in January. The house is extremely comfortable. Large living/dining/kitchen room on top floor, connected to outside covered terrace with great ocean views and a small pool. 2 master bedrooms are a floor lower, each with full bathroom. A/C works great in whole house. There is a washer and dryer. Wifi is super fast over 350 mbps!The house is in a gated subdivision, adding a nice security level.The drive from the gate is about 400 meters steep hill up. It is paved, so a 2 WD car will make it, but if you have 4 people in a 2WD drive car, it would struggle. 4WD is always better in Costa Rica. Make sure to try the La Parcela restaurant 5 minutes away, it has the best food and ocean views. We ended up going for lunch 3 times. It is a popular spot for weddings too, so check the schedule in advance. On the beach, watch for some rocks underwater when walking in during low tide, they can be a bit sharp. The beach in Dominicalito is great, not many people, original nature.

Truly a magnificent place to stay! The view! The ocean breezes! The wildlife! (I don't mean nightlife here) The green mountains! The blue sea below! Wonderful place to stay! The private pool was awesome! STAY HERE!! :))) We were very satisfied!

Canto Del Mar is a beautiful gated community. The road leading up to #28 is slightly steep but not scary at all & doable. The landscaping is pristine. When you arrive at the condo, the breathtaking views of Playa Dominical are exquisite. The two bedrooms are downstairs, same size and both have attached large bathrooms, which isn’t always the case in Costa Rica. We had a slight issue with one of the AC units, but Dave was very quick to respond and handled everything beyond my expectations. Playa Dominico is a very short less than five minute drive. There are several restaurants to choose from in the main town. Dominical Sushi did not disappoint & was a favorite. Dominical is a favorite peaceful and Pura Vida destination….GO

Canto Del Mar in Costa Rica was fantastic! Dave was incredibly responsive and accommodating. The house had everything we needed and the view was absolutely breathtaking. It is perfectly located near local restaurants and a charming small waterfall. Highly recommended for a delightful stay in Costa Rica!

Would highly recommend staying at Canto Del Mar. I will stay here again if I come back to Dominical.

A great host, who was always attentive to booking and always offered the best options. A place with a spectacular view in a relaxed and safe environment. Great! Very grateful.
