This has to be one of the best Airbnb’s i have ever had the pleasure of staying at. The view was so beautiful the host was super helpful and had so many recommendations for us to do in the area. The host helped me get in contact with a driver who was able to show us around. They assisted with helping us find a chef who prepared us an amazing Breakfeast. Overall the host was super helpful with literally everything !!! Will be coming back with my family very soon

Second stay at this wonderful, beautifully appointed house in a privileged location. We spent two weeks here on a family holiday and never tired of the views, the beach, or the surrounding nature - it is truly a hidden gem. Access can be a little challenging, and the security process at the gate is quite formal and sometimes slow, but once inside the residential community, it feels like paradise, especially if you are looking for a peaceful stay. Communication with Brenda was smooth throughout, and we greatly appreciated her helpful tips and flexibility - we look forward to returning soon!

Brenda’s home was beautiful! If you’re looking for a quiet place with your own pool and semi-private beach, this is the place for you. There’s a rough road coming in, but it’s worth it.

Everything was very nice

My family and I had an amazing vacation. The house was beautiful! It had everything we needed, and amazing views of the ocean. The property felt very private. The coconut and mango trees were constantly dropping delicious fruit. The host Brenda always responded quickly. Some heads up for other guests: the road getting to the house is bumpy and the driveway is steep. Also the Waze GPS told me to turn left on the street that the house is on but I actually needed to turn right. And I avoided parking right under the mango trees to avoid the falling fruit possibly damaging my rental car. All in all we had a great time staying at the Ivy Marey. The pool was great. The beach was beautiful and private. There's also a restaurant within the gated community that's attached to some resort/hotel that was good. That restaurant was convenient when we arrived kind of late and didn't want to go back out that night in search of food. I would definitely stay here again, and highly recommend it!

We had a wonderful stay at this beach house in Playa Shalpa. The highlight was definitely the private beach access, as it was peaceful, clean. The view of the ocean was beautiful, and we loved having our own pool, which was cleaned daily by the staff. The home is located in a gated area, so it felt very safe. The house is a bit remote. The nearest town, El Zonte, is about 15 minutes by car and major grocery stores are about 25 minutes away. That said, the stunning beach made it completely worth it. One thing to note is that there was no A/C in the common areas, which was fine during the day but at night, especially during the dry season, it did get hot. Also, the single bedroom downstairs did not have A/C, which was mentioned in the listing, but we overlooked it due to how detailed the listing was. Brenda, the host, was amazing. She was very responsive, quick to answer any questions, and incredibly helpful with recommendations. I would highly recommend this place for future vacations !

My experience with Ivys Marie place was amazing! Brenda was an amazing host. The communication was amazing and all the local restaurants she recommended did have amazing food. The place was really clean and friendly. The assistant staff were super friendly and we felt at home. If you are looking for an amazing, quiet and unique experience I would recommend booking with Brenda!. She will make your vacation unforgettable and those morning sunrise and sunset are gorgeous. Best stay ever !

I don’t write many reviews, but this place is absolutely worth it. One word — AMAZING! The house is beautifully decorated and has everything you could possibly need. The beach is the best we’ve seen in the area — not even comparable to El Tunco or El Zonte. It’s peaceful, sandy, and perfect for waves. We spent hours there every day, and it’s just steps from the house. This has been the most amazing stay in over 10 years of using Airbnb. Highly recommend! We also ordered from El Peñón restaurant a couple of times (the menu is in the house), and everything was excellent — both breakfast and dinner. They even delivered to us, so you could easily stay at the Airbnb without going out for days (honestly, I wish we had!).

Brenda’s place was stunning, We loved the private beach and the kids loved the pool. Waking up to The view of the Ocean was amazing!! The caretakers William and Kendy were pleasant and very helpful. Brenda’s care for her guests was incredible, she made sure we were safe and well cared for, she was quick to respond to our needs. Thank you Brenda for allowing us to stay in your lovely home , We had a wonderful time.
