Darin was a wonderful host. Gave us great restaurant ideas and recommend a company that picked us from the airport and took us to the ferry as well as golf cart company. No lines! Great location and the home was very comfortable inside.

We found this island when we were looking for a beach where we could avoid the sargassum. Isla Mujeres was perfect with clean beach waters and friendly locals. This is definitely a great location right next to the snorkeling beach club. Our daughter and her friend wanted to snorkel in clear blue waters and that is exactly what they got. We went to the popular Playa Norte where everyone was But the girls preferred the smaller quiet beach right next to the condo so we went there multiple days. The rates were also reasonable. There were restaurants near this condo we ate at Rancho Caprichio and in town. Rancho is across the street from condo. This restaurant is also a landmark for taxi pickup/drop-offs and golf cart rentals. Taxis know it well. The condo is just a few driveways down from it. The only issue my daughter and friend had was that their ocean view was blocked with a new home built across the street. There are still views from the balcony and living room. Great trip!

What a fantastic find! Beautiful condo! Location, location, location! This is amazing for those done with the hustle in town and truly want to chill. Garrafon Castillo beach club for the best snorkeling on the Island! $10 wristband & right behind the bldg. In front two of the best restaurants. We ate at the Joint pretty much every day for lunch & dinner! Plus they have live music all day. Just dry off at the beach & walk up to the restaurant for the best fish tacos & coconut mojitos! Darin was wonderful with everything! The apartment has everything you need including snorkel equipment. In terms of should I rent a golf cart? I MO Yes, if you want to see the sites, go into town and be on your own time especially when it’s hot. Rent for a day or two, then taxis are the way to go. Indios Golf Cart Rental comes w/ a beach pass to their beach club. Ladies, this is a great, safe option. I plan on coming back by myself. Everything you need plus a great holistic spa walking distance💜

We loved our stay at Darin’s place. The place is comfortable and clean. Darin is super responsive and helpful. The neighborhood is great. Super close to snorkeling at Garrafon. And a short jaunt to punta sur. We loved a local food tour with “cultura cruisers” and the food at Ulan and Sumara for some non Mexican options. The island is so lovely I wish we didn’t have to leave.

Darin's condo is a wonderful place to stay on Isla Mujeres. The place is well-appointed and charming, and everything worked as promised. A couple of great restaurants are within walking distance, as well as a bodega, and, surprisingly enough (because it's really quiet and peaceful) a place to listen to live music. Also within walking distance is Garrafon de Castilla, a local beach club that we enjoyed. As soon as we arrived we got a text from local contact, señor Cande. He was always instantly available and very helpful. We would come back to Darin's place. The only thing that we can think of improving is the instructions on how to access the building, not because they were not right but if accessed instead from the rear, a much more direct route..

A lovely place that feels home away from home. The amenities were top notch, from fully equipped kitchen to beach chairs and umbrella. Bedrooms are very cozy and comfy. Balcony is great for a morning coffee and the garden behind the house gives some shade for during the day. Great tacos and tequila right across the street and plenty of beach clubs in walking distance. You’ll be far from the touristy area but will have good options to spend a day. Last not least, Darin is super chill, friendly and accommodating- thank you for our stay!

We love staying here! I definitely recommend it to other travelers! The location is wonderful, the place was very clean and comfortable, the decor was stylish, there were all the amenities we needed, communication was clear… It was a joy staying here!!

We really enjoyed this Airbnb! It is on the south end of the island, away from the hustle and bustle of Playa Norte, but near several great restaurants and a very short walk to Punta Sur for incredible sunrises! We enjoyed spending a day hanging out and snorkeling at Gaffaron (which is a one-minute walk away), plus Kin Ha is a great place to eat, drink, and do water activities nearby! We enjoyed hiking along the rocky eastern shoreline, and the tiny market across the street was helpful to have, as well. We appreciated having our own golf cart and would highly recommend doing that, but our cart was kind of a piece of junk from Prisma Rentals (no back light for night driving, broken back seat, not enough power for 4 adults), so I would avoid that place. We were here with our 20 and 17 year old kids, and they loved this location also! This is a great spot and we would stay here again!

Darin’s place was just perfect for my husband and our 17 year old. It was clean, convenient to restaurants and he provided chairs and towels. The property manager met us upon arrival and made sure we had an easy check in. The A/C was much appreciated. Communication was on point with any of our concerns. Overall, we would come back here.

Darin's place provided all my family could have hoped for - a quiet escape from the buzz found near North Beach, a gorgeous view over the water, and plenty of space. Just as importantly, Darin himself was extremely helpful, setting us up with a dive shop, a taxi driver and other needs. His communication was flawless and helpful. We felt almost as if we had the entire southern end of the island to ourselves, yet the convenience store and taco restaurant just steps out the back door made sure we were never isolated in the least. So happy we stayed here.

We just got back from a week at Darin’s Place. From The moment I was interested in the property until after we checked out he was very quick to respond and even helped us book a taxi! The unit was spotless and so adorable! Great views of the Caribbean and very quiet, walkable location. The beach chairs, umbrella and snorkeling sets were a nice touch as well. We definitely will be back and I would have zero hesitations to book this place again!

We had the most amazing honeymoon in Isla! We were also on the island for NYE. Darin's location was perfect, his directions to navigate the island & descriptions were spot on. Very quiet area if you are looking to stay away from the party and a fun cart drive home when you are leaving the party... pay attention to speed bump signs! Punta Sur is a short cart drive & along the way there is a stunning view point. This location has the BEST tacos on the island right at its back door & a convenience store right next door. Everything in the home is as pictured, full patio with seating, and beach chairs/towels are available to go! Our host was great to work with, we will definitely stay again. Thank you, Darin for having us in your home!

Darin is an excellent host! The condo was perfect! The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well stocked with cook wear and dishes. We really liked being on the south end of the island. There's plenty of beaches and restaurants nearby. Renting a golf cart is the way to go.
