It's not easy to find a place in Santa Teresa / Hermosa that's walkable to the beach. Jason's place is a 5 minute walk through the 'jungle', not right on the beach. But easy to get to one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. The house is very modern and updated. The AC works great. The beds and furniture are comfortable. The pool and the rancho are great places to hang out. Note there is not a dishwasher or laundry, but the wonderful caretaker / housekeepers can help with that if needed. Jason gave us excellent recommendations for chefs to come in to cook for the family, and someone to give us surf lessons. These added so much to our trip! There were several issues with the house during our stay, and Jason or the caretaker addressed them quickly and were always available.

Jason and team were incredibly helpful, thoughtful, responsive, professional and friendly from start to finish…from booking to checkout. Place is very well-appointed and super comfortable. We had an amazing week! Can’t recommend highly enough!

This was our third time staying at Jason's house and each trip is better than the last. This was our first time coming at this time of year and it was as lovely as ever and the gardens were particularly lush and beautiful after the rainy season. Jason is a great host, always very communicative and responsive. The caretakers Walter and Anna are very reliable for any issues that might arise. There were lots of ripe coconuts this time and Walter would crack them open for us to drink! The pool was the perfect temperature when we wanted to cool down in the heat of the afternoon. Amelina came to the house and taught us yoga which we all agreed was top notch. We always surf with Alvaro (Saltwater Surfing). We like to stay in the immediate area as much as possible - breakfast or lunch at Coleur, Plaza Cafe, or Mantaraya. The Super Hermosa has all the groceries we need. The generous living spaces, pool, excellent location, and attentive hosting make Casa Nalu our home away from home

Jason’s place was amazing. We were there for a surf trip and the location couldn’t be more ideal - super short walk to the beach. The place is so clean and well kept, the caretaker was very available and helpful while we were there! The pool and outdoor space are great to relax in after a surf session. We loved it so much, will definitely be back!

My wife and I have been coming to Costa Rica for 16 years. We used to stay in Mal Pais but always found ourselves driving via ATV to Playa Hermosa daily, so we decided to stay where we spent most of our time. On this trip, we brought our two boys (10 and 6), our close friends, and their girls (12 and 8). It was their first time in Costa Rica, and we wanted it to be memorable. Jason, our host, was fantastic, coordinating with us multiple times before our trip to ensure we had everything we needed. We arrived at Casa Nalu after dark & were welcomed by the caretakers, Walter & Ana. The house is stunning, with every detail carefully considered. The pool was perfect for the kids, and the lush property was just as impressive as the interior. The security is top-notch; the property is fenced, and tall native grasses provide privacy as if you're in your little compound. Casa Nalu was the ideal home base, with the beach nearby, Super Hermosa for groceries, and TP8 for amazing pizza!

We had an absolutely amazing stay at Casa Nalu. The house is beautiful, the beds are comfortable, the yard is stunning and the attention to detail is above and beyond. Jason helped us out of a sticky situation before we even arrived! The walk to the beach is short and easy with daily monkey visits on the way. We are already planning our return visit. Pura Vida!

Let’s just say we are already planning our trip back. The beauty of Playa Hermosa is hard to put into words - the house sits right on the edge of a jungle path to the most beautiful beach I’ve ever been to. In the morning monkeys would greet us on our path to the surf. The beach itself has warm water, epic waves and pristine sand. The local restaurants are charming and soooo good - and healthy! The house itself is breathtaking and high quality. We arranged for surf lessons, yoga classes and massages during our stay. The caretakers are kind and accommodating. Jason and his wife were exceptional in their communication so we felt nurtured during the whole travel experience - pura vida! We can’t wait to return.

The house and location are sensational! You can walk to one of the most beautiful beaches in Costa Rica in 3 minutes... you can hardly top! The caretakers also do a great job and Jason gave feedback very quickly. Great to rent surfboards at the property! We will come back!

Wonderful stay at Casa Nalu! The house is pristine. Beds were very comfortable, rooms very suitable for 2 families. We love that Hermosa is still past the beaten patch of Santa Teresa, but you can easily go back to Santa T for shopping and dinner. We loved the easy walk to the beach down the path from the house. Loved walking to Couleur Cafe and TP8 right in Hermosa for awesome food and atmosphere! This was a perfect stay. Thank you Jason, Marina, and Jarvin for all your help! Pura Vida!
