Loved our stay here. Very spacious, comfortable rooms, and conveniently located a short drive from all the sights. We were traveling with our two young kids and the space was especially good for our family. The pool was awesome!
Casa Turquesa was a nice place to stay near La Fortuna. The bedrooms were very comfortable and the pool was a big hit with the kids — since we visited in March, the water was already a perfect 82-85°F without needing extra heat. We did encounter a few issues: there was a large smoky fire burning organic matter and cardboard on the property upon our arrival, and both the oven and the microwave were not functional. However, Carolina was very responsive. She immediately sent someone to extinguish the fire and had the microwave replaced halfway through our stay. While the oven remained broken, we appreciated the quick communication and the late check-out she provided. The house is right on the highway, which is very convenient for driving to daily activities around La Fortuna, but also expect traffic noise over “nature sounds”. Overall, an excellent home base for daily activities and dining in La Fortuna.
The pictures don’t do this house justice. It is absolutely amazing. It was extremely clean and in a great location. I hope to come back some time!
The reason we rated a 4/5 is because in the description the home says it has a heated pool. The owner messaged us prior to our visit and told us we would have to pay $30 per day in order for it to be heated. We did pay for the heated pool due to the weather while we were there, however we were disappointed that there was an extra cost. Pros: It is a large, beautiful home and property. The kids loved seeing frogs and geckos around the yard in the evening. The kitchen is well stocked. We loved staying in this home Cons: having to pay for the heated pool. The oven needs to be lit with a lighter and primed for a long time to work. The microwave also doesn’t work. Overall we would definitely stay here again. The cons are easily fixable for future people staying.
Carolina was responsive from Day 1. This was our first trip to Costa Rica and we could not have picked a better spot or host. This beautiful home is gated with both a code for the gate and a code for the home. We felt so secure and the home is extremely convenient to everything in La Fortuna. Carolina answered all of our questions, provided great recommendations and instructions. One of the best Airbnb experiences we have had.
This place was really pretty and had alot of space! We felt really safe and Carolina hooked us up with a concierge service that was super helpful. The Bluetooth speaker by the pool didn’t work and one shower with 7 people was tough but we would definitely stay again.

Hi Kim, I’m glad you had a great time at Casa Turquesa, I’m sorry the speaker didn’t work, I didn’t know but we will address it right away, I’m not sure what you mean by one shower, there’s a shower in each of the 2 bathrooms, one upstairs and another one downstairs.
We were super happy with our stay at Casa Turquesa! The location is great for all the sites, including Fortuna Waterfall, Eden Chocolate Tour, Mistico Hanging Bridges, etc. The house had an incredible uniqueness to it with plenty of space for us and our 2 kids. It included towels, hairdryers, washer/dryer, games, WiFi, and the rest of the standard amenities. The pool area was exactly as pictured and the gated entrance gives you a nice feeling of privacy and security. The only note that I would make for others is that it is right on the busy road, so if car noise bothers you it’s something to consider. Us on the other hand slept like babies in the very comfortable beds! If we were to go back to La Fortuna, we would stay here again without looking at any other location. We’ll have great memories to look back upon thanks to this unique home.
Beautiful place, location and pool is amazing as well as the outdoor kitchen area. We would stay here again. we loved it!

We really loved our stay at Casa Turquesa! It is just a couple km from downtown La Fortuna. We had a car, so it was 5min a snowy anywhere we wanted to go. There is tons to do around the area and lots of restaurants close by. The backyard has tall trees and landscaping so you get a nice private feeling. The outside space is really well done. We loved the pool and waterfall. We didn’t even stay long enough to really take advantage of the bar, grill, and outside amenities. The covered parking was great for us to be able to load and unload out of the rain (which is very common in the area). The layout of the house is so fun! It was perfect for our family of 6. Plenty of space and areas for people to have alone time as well as gathering spaces. Carolina was responsive to our needs and did a great job hosting. Wish we could’ve stayed longer!

Casa Turquesa was as amazing as the listing! Spacious, fun and extremely well decorated. Every room was colorful and playful. We also enjoyed time in the pool, sitting at the swim up bar. The recommendations on the chalk board were incredible helpful as this was our first time in the area. We would definitely recommend staying here!

Casa Turquesa was so much fun! It was a beautiful location, close to town, but also private and quieter. The outdoors space was incredible too. We loved the pool, hammock, and hanging chairs. The recommendations she left for us were all so good. We especially loved Soda La Hormiga and Empanadas Argentinas. My family all said they were sad to leave and would absolutely stay there again!

Location is very private and 5 min away from town. Pool and swings were excellent. Beds comfortable and a/c in rooms and one living room worked great. No central air. Listing does not disclose cameras throughout including pool area but immediately rotated the camera facing the pool away giving our family privacy. Beds were comfortable and kitchen well stocked. Bring or buy spices, kitchen garbage bags and additional paper towels. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and look forward to visiting again.

Thanks for your review Idanys, yes, we are in a nice location, away from the beautiful chaos of a touristy town, but at the same time close to everything. No central air is listed, we have the split system with ac units in every bedroom and living/dining/kitchen area. UPDATE: There's a spice rack on the counter with all spices needed to prepare nice meals, we leave extra garbage bags in cabinet under sink, we provide a full roll of paper towels per stay. The cameras in the exterior of the property and are there solely for liability/safety purposes, they are not monitored at all.
