This house is amazing if you are looking for a quiet beach away from the crowds with beautiful views and a comfortable place to call home. Padraig, the host, was extremely responsive and helpful as he has a bar and restaurant close by so that was nice. The beach is not swimable with all the sea grass but it is overal an amazing and quiet place to stay. Getting to the house is a little interesting as it's definitely off the beaten path and going through the village can be a bit tricky. The house is beautiful and very comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked which made cooking a breeze. The views are gorgeous from every bedroom. We appreciated the quiet location, far away from the bustling tourist area of West Bay. So if you're looking for beautiful sunsets over the ocean, a quiet and peaceful neighborhood, while taking a dip in the pool, this is the place!

This place is IT! We were far away from all the hustle and bustle of the west end. Peaceful and secluded. Paddling out about a hundred yards or so seemed far until you did it on calm and windy days and it was worth it! We saw a ton of starfish, conch and some cool fish at the reef. Keep paddling until you see the first bright blue water and keep going until the next, it’s easier than it looks. We loved seeing multiple stingrays and we think nurse sharks off the dock every night. We also loved fishing off the dock and caught and released multiple crabs and a small barracuda. Endless entertainment. The house itself was gorgeous. It was however not the cleanest Airbnb we have stayed at. The shower drains were full of hair, the toilets full of dust, hair and didn’t look like they house cleaned before our stay, the kitchen cabinets and walls were dirty and mold in the coffee maker. We had to clean upon arrival of our vacation. Other than the cleanliness it was perfect. Loved the location!

This house was a gem! Very spacious. The beach area was great. It was wonderful to have the paddle boards. There are great snorkel areas that you can paddle out to. We are divers, but the snorkeling past the mangroves by the boat buoys is amazing! Padraig opened a bar/restaurant a short walk down the beach that was fun for our older kids. We loved having the small pool. The drive to the house is interesting, but the people in the near village are friendly and could benefit from tourists spending some money. My only complaint is that the house only has three chaise lounge chairs. I recommend bringing bug spray to Roatan. It is wonderful to have AC in the rooms. The house was great and Padraig was wonderful.

We loved everything but the pool (which Paudy was having a problem finding good help to get the pump operating correctly). The Saturday seafood coconut soup is amazing. the beds are nice and comfy. The kitchen is stocked with basics. Overall, we had a fanatic time!

This rental is truly a private retreat off the beaten path on the quiet side of the island. Padi's communication was top notch and the view and proximity to the ocean were unmatched! We appreciated suggestions for diving, dining and tours. We paddle boarded right off our beach into the nearby mangroves and out to the sandbars where we saw bright orange starfish. We loved the palapa on the dock for morning workouts. This is a relaxed beach rustic retreat perfect for relaxing after a day of diving or exploring the island! We would definitely book this unit again!

Pictures don’t do this property justice, felt like we pulled up to MTV cribs lol… We definitely enjoyed the place and had a good time with our party of 7… Please make sure you pay attention to the instructions on how to locate the property because it definitely off the beaten path… Or one of Padraig’s peoples can come meet you once you are near…

Nice house. Secluded area, roads aren’t great. You can’t swim from the beach it’s too shallow, have to paddle out 50 yards or so. We explored Camp Bay beach and took a boat to pigeon cay and jade beach. Highly recommend that. Nice private location away from tourists.

This was our first trip to Roatan, so we were definitely not sure what to expect. We are so happy we found Padraig's home and also that we took his advice to arrange a car from his local colleague. We were greeted at the airport on time and were driven right to the home which helped as we were completely unfamiliar with the island. He offered to stop with us to buy groceries, but we opted to go the following day. The home was wonderful and exactly as pictured. Everything was pretty much brand new and in good working order. The rooms were large and the views and privacy helped us relax and rest. We took advantage of the pool and lounge chairs. Unfortunately, there was some rain as we were at the end of hte rainy season, but we got plenty of sun on the beach. From time to time, locals would walk by or use the shared dock, but we felt very safe. The people on the island seemed very friendly and welcoming. Overall, we loved the island and would definitely return to Padraig's home.

Big house with a huge kitchen, comfortable bedding, and AC in all of the enclosed rooms. Beautiful, quiet, private beach. Incredible sunsets, great paddle boarding out to blue holes to snorkel where you can see conch shells, starfish, and fish. The beach right in front has turtle grass so not ideal for swimming but its a short paddle out. Padraig provides paddle boards and snorkel gear. If you are hoping to take advantages of activities and restaurants in West End it is a 45 minute drive so we ended up renting a car and there is not much in the local village.
