We enjoyed our stay at this property. Julie and Ivan ensured we had all that we required. The place is exactly as portrayed. Cozy beds, chilly air conditioning, and a fully equipped BBQ along with kitchen utensils were all provided. The house is elegantly decorated, and the pool area gives off a vibe of being in the heart of the jungle. We even had a few monkeys come by to see us, which was amazing. We will certainly think about returning when we are back in the vicinity.

Julie was a very responsive and helpful host! she shared some fun things happening in the area which really made our stay fun. Location is a 30min walk from the beach, so we always drove (the beach is lovely!!). Also surprisingly great restaurants in the area for such a sleepy town. We loved our stay!

What can I say ? Julie’s home is amazing! Gorgeous and pristine interior , rustic and stunning exterior with a beautiful pool and incredible bbq and tables for outdoor and indoor dining . We were greeted by Blanca the housekeeper who left us a bowl of fresh fruit . Casa Nico has stunning trees with wild life including a family of howler monkeys and beautiful birds. We had a few friendly visitors including the neighborhood dog, Pablito who we fell in love with . Ivan the landscaper was by daily to do a quick cleanup of the yard and pool . He was extremely friendly and kind . If you are looking for a home away from home with air con , comfortable beds and a spotless home look no further than here . 5 minutes from a stunning beach and restaurants . To top it off Julie was so kind to keep us informed of a turtle release at the local hatchery . Without her updating us we never would have had this experience . I can’t say enough great things about Casa Nico ! We will book again !

We had an amazing stay in Los Pargos and would absolutely come back. Julie was extremely responsive and proactive, sharing thoughtful local recommendations and making us feel welcome right away. Ivan, the groundskeeper, was equally wonderful: friendly, attentive, and on site every day to rake leaves, take out the trash, and keep the pool clean and inviting. The daily howler monkeys in the trees right in the yard were a highlight for our whole group. The house looked exactly like the pictures, was comfortable, and fit our group of 6 perfectly with plenty of space to relax. The pool was a true respite from the heat and quickly became our favorite place to unwind. We also felt very safe with exterior security cameras, Ivan around often to check on the property, and the fact that it shares the property with LaTica Lodge so there were usually staff nearby. Location is ideal too: about a 5-minute drive to Playa Negra and around 3 minutes to several great restaurants. Highly recommend.

The place is very nice, several beaches very close. The people who attended to us were very friendly, the hosts too. Well-equipped kitchen, shower with hot water, the children enjoyed the pool a lot. Thank you very much!

We had the opportunity to stay at Casa Nico for a week with a group of 7 adults. The number of beds suited our needs and the beds were really comfy. The place is beautiful inside and outside. The kitchen included all the things we needed to cook our meal (you will need to purchase your own cooking oil and additional spices however). The check in and out process was easy. Our only issue was we couldn’t get the front gate to lock during our stay but we still felt very safe with only the interior door locking. The location is nice and peaceful and we saw howler monkeys, very friendly local dogs and cats and a few lizards. Close proximity to a few restaurants, the beach and even next door is trapeze lessons if you feel adventurous. We did end up doing trapeze next door and it was a highly recommended experience. Julie was great at communicating and the property manager Ivan was super friendly! I would highly recommend Casa Nico for a place to stay!

We had a great honeymoon, shared with friends and family, house is spacious, nice landscaping, pool its big.Ivan, the guy who takes care of maintenance and any issues, extremely helpful and friendly, we’ll be definitely visit again with friends.Playa Negra its a black hole of incredible beaches, restaurants, not so crowded, not so mainstream, but for sure, one of the best places in Guanacaste.

The house is beautiful, very open with very large windows. The bedrooms are spacious, beds comfortable, and the bathrooms have infinite hot water. The property is large and has beautiful trees surrounding a pristine pool. Every day the maintenance man, Ivan, brought us fresh coconuts, fruit, and even flowers without being asked. It’s located in our favorite neighborhood near playa negra, and is very quiet. Costa Rica has many awesome quirks, and one that we love is the availability of “free range” dogs from the neighbors who come to visit when they smell your dinner cooking! The property managers were incredibly responsive, within minutes each time. We’ll be coming back and sending friends/family to this place.

We had the most tranquil and beautiful stay at Julie‘s place! The bedrooms were spacious, the grounds were stunning, and everyone we interacted with was exceptionally helpful and kind. Ivan the groundskeeper and Blanca who helped our family with keeping things tidy were exceptional. If you’re looking for privacy, but still want to be in driving distance to some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, this is a spectacular option!
