we were very good at Doris's house! We loved having the kitchen, very clean and well equipped. nice terrace, bathroom and rooms!. Super revomenda!!

The house is well in terms of equipment and location but neglected cleaning, inside dirty cabinets and leftover food in the microwave.

A very large house with a great wooden terrace right above the river. You could sit out very nice and nice and enjoy the atmosphere. Water canisters with drinking water and coffee were available to us. Cleanliness would need to be improved.

Castillo may be the best destination for visitors in the country. We have visted more than 10 times. Lots of bush walks and interesting critters to see. And the community is very welcoming. The fact that there are no vehicles and the town is only accessible by boat leads to a greater interconnection between neighbours. Its als an entrepreneurial community. There are almost no jobs so people all find a product or service they can offer. Doris's house is right on the water and very central. We were a family of 6 staying there and were comfortable. I would like to give it 5 stars, but there are water and electrical issues with the house... much as there are with most old houses... and we were left in the dark and without water a few times. BUT... despite the drawbacks I think it is a good option if you don't want to stay in a hotel.

Great location, fast communication. There was an issue with (a lot of) birds on the balcony every night from sunset, so we had to clean the balcony every morning if we wanted to use it. The host is working on a solution.

We really enjoyed our stay here. We were hesitant at first because it was more expensove than thw other options in town but it was definitely worth it. It is actually much nicer than the photos indicate. Really unique wooden house built on stilts directly on the river. We spent so much time just sitting on the rocking chairs on the deck watching the boats, birds , rapids and people watching on the neigboring houses. Twice some scarlet macaws fly across the river. The birds love to sit on logs and wait for fish. We stayed 4 nights but could have stayed longer it was so peaceful. There are virtually no mosquitos because the house is near the rapids. The kitchen was fully equipped so we cooked all of our meals. You can see t castillo from he kitchen window. The house is huge. We were only 2 but an entire family could comdortably stay here. Very clean and nice bathroom. A big 5 gallon garrafon of water was included which was awesome. Doris responded almost immediately to all our enquiries . Thanks Doris!

My family and I stayed here for 3 nights, it is a cute little house and conveniently located - central for easy access to the sites in the village and to little shops to be able to buy the basic items for eating. Doris was very responsive to questions during our stay and I appreciate that

Excellent place to experience the life of the region, the castle... its location is super strategic and the view from the small terrace is incredible... the house is super cozy and the girls (Doris and Brenda) are the perfect hosts... simply super happy to have been able to be in such a wonderful place and I hope to be able to return soon 💙🤍💙

This is a very good choice in El Castillo: A beautiful house, spacious enough for a family, with a balcony directly at the river. Nice views especially during sunrise, and when the birds return in the afternoon. I slept well here. The kitchen is fully equipped. Brenda and Doris help you with all your needs.

Beautiful Cabana. Just as it is shown in pictures. Very peaceful and relaxing. Would recommend it for anyone traveling to El Castillo.

It is exactly like the pictures. Spacious, clean, nice view on the river, big kitchen. Excellent! El Castillo is lovely! And Doris very very helpful
