I can’t say enough about this place. Exactly as described. The property is beautiful and in the best location . Super peaceful, surrounded by nature and house has everything you need. Beds are very comfortable and the kitchen is perfect for cooking. Ted was the most responsive host I have ever booked with on Airbnb.

Ted was such a hospitable host. He helped us with everything and was extremely flexible. His place is right on the beach, literally steps away. He was very generous with his time, attention, and proactive communication.

Ted was an attentive and caring host, listening to our needs and very helpful in ensuring we had a great stay, which we 100% did! The place is heavenly; you couldn't ask for anything better.

Ted’s place was exactly as described, and we had the best time staying in his beach bungalow. The property was fantastic, and you can tell Ted has put a lot of thought into making guests feel at home. We especially appreciated the thoughtful touches, like the gourmet local coffee and high-quality olive oil. The location couldn’t have been better. Being right on the beach made it the perfect home base for our stay. Ted was a wonderful host, and we highly recommend his place to anyone looking for a relaxing beach getaway. We hope to come back again!

Ted's place is terrific--a little bungalow in the remote jungles of the Osa Peninsula. This place is quaint, well-appointed, nestled in the jungle, just steps away from one of Matapalo's premier surf spots. Ted is a phenomenal host and overall great guy. Highly recommend his place and would absolutely stay here again.

Pieza Paraíso is a gem in the middle of the jungle. It's an open space with plenty of breeze and only a 1-minute walk to the beach. You're surrounded by trees, with the occasional monkey and lots of birds stopping by to say hello. There’s hot water and great internet, even on rainy days. Although it says so in the description, I had my doubts at first, but believe it, it works all the time! Ted was very communicative and made everything easy and simple for us. 100% recommended.

We spent 10 incredible days at Ted's place. We were able to try out both houses because the one on the beach was not available for our entire stay. Cabo Matapalo is a very beautiful place with lots of animals. We were lucky enough to see dolphins, sea turtles, anteaters, different species of monkeys, toucans, and macaws... Thanks for this beautiful stay, Ted!

Our family of 3 stayed at Ted’s place for 5 nights. It was our first time in Matapalo—what an incredible place! Ruggedly beautiful, the ocean surf lulls you to sleep. The house is simple but private and very well equipped. The kitchen is open air and has good cookware, cutting boards, even a blender. The bedrooms have walls and a plug in fan to help move the air at night. Ted was proactive and responsive as a communicator. My husband and daughter took surf lessons two days, and we enjoyed watching the surfers on our beach. Heidy came to cook for us twice—what a treat. We also had many birds and animals visit us—a curassow bird, scarlet macaws, black iguanas, and dolphins off shore. We were outside in the dining/living area most of the time we were home. We loved our time in Matapalo and would definitely stay here again.

Wow! What a gem in Matapalo. The beachfront house is one of a kind. Tranquil, serene, with the best view on the beach. Amazing wildlife walking by your front porch each morning. Monkeys and parrots in the trees. Great access to the surf. Thanks Ted for a wonderful stay!

Ted’s place was perfect for us. Like all places in Matapalo, it’s off the grid and solar powered. The experience of the outdoor kitchen and macaws flying overhead is unmatched. incredibly close to matapalo break. Ted’s recommendations and help were spot on!

Ted was there for us when we needed advise . He set us up for success from the start by greeting us in the driveway and showing us the place. It was wonderful to be tucked away in nature while being so close to the beach.
We came here with a big crew of adults and kids and had an incredible 5 days. The beach right in front of the house is absolutely stunning and empty. You can sit and drink your coffee and watch a handful of pro level surfers tackle the waves. If you like mellow, never-ending rides, Pan Dulce is a 7 minute drive or 15 minute walk down a bumpy road. The kitchen is the best equipped airbnb I have ever stayed in- sharp knives, all-clad stainless steel pots and pans, every accessory one could need. Our 4 to 9 year old group of kids had the time of their lives building beach bonfires, spotting sloths, and making houses for hermit crabs. The array of colorful birds is unlike anything I have ever seen and I only live three hours away. Truly, one of the most special places I have ever stayed. It is IN the jungle though so you will enjoy it if you like the sound of crashing waves to lull you to sleep, birdsong at 5am, and feeling of being one with the elements.
Ted’s place is great. We visited with a large family of 9. We used two of Ted’s houses. Place was super with immediate walk out to beach and to numerous other beaches on the coast. Great place, peaceful sleeping and perfect for family meals. Lots of nature and animals close by but not intimidating. Ted was super helpful and provided lots of recommendations for local excursions, restaurants and transportation.
