We had a great stay! The host provided tons of information in things to do in the area and local restaurants. The home has everything you need and gives you access to several nearby beaches.

The house is beautiful and has good potential. However, on the day of our arrival we had a bad experience, as someone entered the property while we were away and our belongings were stolen. The house does not have perimeter security, as it does not have walls. During the police visit, they were able to verify that, although there are bars on the windows, they can be easily opened from the outside. Also, the gate had no lock to secure it. Despite what happened, the host was very attentive to the situation and provided excellent service, as did the local manager, who did their best to support us in the face of what happened. In the end, the police informed us that the area had recently been affected by criminal acts and that it was not very safe.

Your safety and peace of mind are very important to us, and we took the situation seriously from the moment you informed us, assisted in securing alternative accommodations, accompanied you to the police, and remained closely involved to offer support during a difficult situation. For clarity for future guests, the home is equipped with a lockable gate, window bars, an alarm system, and an in-home safe, all of which we recommend using, especially the safe for valuables, when away from the property. We have not experienced prior incidents of this nature and many guests have stayed comfortably and securely at the property. Nevertheless, we continuously review and improve our security measures and take all feedback seriously. We regret that your stay was affected and appreciate your recognition of the care provided by our team.

It is nice, there are many many trees and nature, quite private and safe and Mr. Miguel responds quickly; there were only a few setbacks with the electricity, I imagine in the area and some problems with an air conditioner and the pool that were resolved during the stay.

Actually, the air conditioner did break and it was then fixed and the pool did have a problem which was also then fixed. Sometimes it’s hard to predict these things until they happen. The check-in was good, the host waited for us to deliver the house although unfortunately we had several problems, for example: the house does not have air conditioning in the living room and kitchen, it has several fans but they are not enough for the heat it does, the rice cooker is very small, the blender does not serve, there is no cable signal on the TV. The bottom of the pool was sluggish, lack of maintenance in the pool. Must be upgraded to get a better rating

Kenneth, We have 66 5-star reviews out of 70 and yours is the first 3-star review we've received, which of course concerns us! I’m so sorry you had the experience you had over your 2 day stay. Our guests' happiness is my primary concern and our ultimate goal. We do have an exemplary pool maintenance team used by the top properties in the area and I can assure you the pool was professionally cleaned the day of your arrival, as it is with every guest. Still, something about it was clearly not to your liking. The blender you mention is a Nutri Bullet and you must press down to make it work, unlike common blenders. The manual is in the drawer with other appliance manuals. Additionally, it is noted in our listing and the house document that we have a smart TV; we do not have cable or a satellite, nor do we represent that we do. I also clearly state in the listing that there is AC in every bedroom but 4 fans in the living room/kitchen area. Guests often enjoy keeping the doors open to the veranda and the pool area outside. Still, I know it can be very warm in certain months and I regret you weren’t pleased with your stay. It is a very nice place, very nice stay; the house is just as seen in the pictures and the land is quite large as well as the pool. The beach that is 5 minutes away from the house is really beautiful; great communication with the host too.

Kaethe’s place was perfect for our two families with 3 young kids. The house and yard and pool were perfect, lots of shade, a kid safe area in the pool and beautiful yard with great shade from the trees. On our third day of the visit we were visited by dozens of howler monkeys hanging out in the trees near the pool. Roosters in the morning mean you can leave your alarm clock at home. Kaethe and the property manager Miguel communicated proactively and responsively. Beautiful beaches nearby without big crowds, each within a few minutes drive. Plenty of local restaurants and places to get groceries. Good value for money, highly recommend.

The location was amazing, and communication was prompt. We really appreciated all the recommendations for the area, and referenced them throughout our stay. I am so glad we explored this part of Costa Rica- it was truly stunning!

We had a wonderful stay during our time here. When we arrived, apparently there was a mishap with the pool, but Kaethe was on top of it and the gentleman cleaning the pool came every morning to check on it to make sure we could safely use it, we greatly appreciated that! The property is beautiful and our young kids loved having the bunkbeds. The beaches nearby were not the greatest for our toddler and young kids but great if you are looking to surf or have older children (or no children). We had to drive further out to calmer waters like Flamingo (which is about an hour each way) where our kids could enjoy the water. We still visited the nearby beaches to walk and pick up seashells and then went back to the house to enjoy the pool. We ended up having a great time here.

Our family of 5 stayed here for a month and it was perfect. The house has plenty of room, the kitchen was well stocked, and the outdoor area (including the pool) was fabulous. We also loved the location - very peaceful and close to multiple amazing beaches. Would 100% stay here again!

The accommodations are wonderful and all is well kept and clean. With 2 young children in our party the pool was a smash hit and we spent hours in it every day. We did not have enough days to explore all the beaches along the immediate coast, but the ones we did were not crowded, were very clean, and the locals were so friendly. We started out every morning with coffee and breakfast at the Corazon Coffee Roaster which is a short drive from the house. The Restaurante Latino (a mere 5 minutes walk) was perfect for feeding tired children. Because of travels problems, we did not arrive until late in the evening but shortly after we arrived, Miguel (caretaker) showed up to welcome us and to show us all the intricacies of the house and how things worked. As promised, the howler monkeys paid a visit each morning and the humming birds showed up regularly. Plenty of shade, well appointed house, and easy to feel right at home. We will certainly come back again, soon.
