a timeless cabin with magnificent views of the volcano You have to be comfortable with nature to stay here, but if you are, it's a total disconnect. a peaceful haven! Jonathan and Josie are attentive to your needs, and the farm products are a plus!

Incredible spot! The road is a bit hard to get there by scooter, but once you are there it’s immaculate. Exactly what they describe. Beautiful cabin with a view of the volcano. You don’t have electricity in the room, so it can get a bit hot, but they provide candles for light. Outdoor shower was a highlight! Full kitchen, walkable from the room, with electricity and all listed amenities. They have incredible products we highly recommend you try! Eggs, ghee, and more! They are a very sweet family, we even got a tour of the garden from their little girl - so sweet :)

What an amazing place! We absolutely loved this beautiful cabin, where we were able to enjoy complete peace and privacy. The sunsets were beautiful, the accommodation met all our expectations, and it was nice to be so cut off from the rest of the world for a while!

Josie and Jonathan were the most lovely and attentive hosts we have ever met. The space they provided was so beautiful, a balance of simplicity and comfort that felt luxurious to us and made for a perfect experience for nature lovers - but be prepared to be faced with the natural elements of course! The view was divine and the whole experience was wonderful for nature lovers like us. What stood out most (even more than the amazing view) was their kindness and willingness to share their knowledge and story with us. We left extremely inspired, and would return to this area of Ometepe even if only to see them and the kids again!
Host Response
We are deeply touched by your words Alyssia. And more than that: we are grateful to have met you! Looking forward to our next encounter!

The house is as described, and there is a very beautiful view. It was great to have an outdoor shower with hot water. The kitchen was well equipped. However, the outdoor toilet wasn't really our thing. And unfortunately, we ended up leaving early because there were bird droppings in the house.
Host Response
For the sake of clarity: the translation here is not accurate, Sille left early because they were spiders in / around the cabin - and she is afraid of them. Again Sille, I am sorry it didn’t work out for you and thank you for being so honest and respectful about it! To anyone reading this: we are located in the lush jungle of Ometepe island and spiders and other insects are part of the ecosystem, please be aware when booking!

We had such a wonderful stay here at this off-the-beaten-path gem! The property is surrounded by nature with beautiful views overlooking the volcano and lake. Staying here was such a unique and peaceful experience. We loved getting fresh produce from the farm, especially the amazing honey and Greek yogurt. Josie and Johnathon were incredible hosts, so kind and helpful throughout. The place is up a dirt path which was a little tricky to find at first, but Josie was very responsive and made sure we arrived safely, which we really appreciated. We left feeling completely refreshed and would absolutely love to come back again.

It was such a treat staying on the farm. Josie and Jon were super kind and welcoming and shared with us a great deal about their lifestyle (we were super curious). Our personal highlight was the outdoor shower with the view of Ometepe and volcano conception. If you’re looking for a very simplistic experience close to nature this is for you!

It was an amazing experience! We'll definitely be back. The views are stunning. We loved watching the sunset from our Airbnb and the stars in the evening. Our hosts were available, welcoming, and very attentive to the environment and the well-being of their guests. They also sell high-quality products, and we even had the chance to take part in the honey harvest! The kitchen is well-equipped; we didn’t want for anything! A big OMG! We are so grateful, thank you!

We had a lovely stay. Views and especially the shower are amazing!! Cool experience to be so remote and we saw many animals (including tarantula)! The road up is, as discribed, difficult so we preferred parking our moto and walked the last bit; this was no problem.

Beautiful place, very special to wake up in the morning with the view of the volcano and parrots around you. The outdoor shower was also enjoyable every time.

Everything is clear in the instructions, these people are charming and have excellent experience as owners on their farm. But, however, 1 spoon is missing to see 2, and 1 table and 2 chairs to not sit on the floor or furniture, 1 wire to hang the laundry, and 1 marker to order eggs or cheese on the whiteboard as shown. The Turkish toilet, we did it, thanks to the view.
Host Response
Hi Laurent, I’m sorry you didn’t find what you wanted in terms of furniture AND you found exactly what we advertise and you chose to reserve. The listing reads: “The cabin is equipped with a king size firm bed, cotton sheets , pillows and a mosquito net; a private outdoor shower with hot water; private compost toilets. You will have access to a covered kitchen / living room area with table and chairs, a stove, sink, fridge, freezer, and a vitamix blender.” The listing is really honest, as per the photos, there is no table nor chairs in the cabin. The living space with tables and chairs is at the farm kitchen. There you can also find a clothes line under the roof, and more comfortable closed seated compost toilets.

I'm repeating the same thing as everyone else, but the view is just amazing. Josephine was available to advise us on things to do in the area and the kitchen area is perfect for alfresco dining. We already want to go back!
