We enjoyed our stay, the accommodation is clean, beautiful views and Sonja & Eduardo are very friendly and helpful.Even that the weather was cold and cloudy it was still worth the trip. Trying out new fruits from the garden was a nice experience too.

Sonia is such a warm and helpful person. She has such a positive energy and loves to share about the beautiful property and all the fruits and herbs. The suite is as described and the views are wonderful. With wrap around windows the whole valley is visible from the suite. The eggs and access to the herb garden is perfect for a breakfast omelette, but be careful because there are bot hot and sweet peppers so pay attention when Sonia describes the garden. The hot pepper was really hot and made for a spicy breakfast. It was nice to have access to a washer and dryer and Sonia was so helpful in getting our laundry done. This property is great for bird watchers with birds everywhere. This location requires transportation as it is not easy walking distance to restaurants or grocery stores but is a perfect place for a peaceful retreat. We spent one night on our way to the Caribbean coast and would love to return and spend a few peaceful days.

We loved our stay at Sonia and Eduardo's. Sonia responded very quickly. We had fresh eggs, fruit from their garden and coffee for lunch. Their land is beautiful with lots of birds and fruit trees. We would recommend this listing.

An amazing place to stay, surrounded with lush, green vistas of the nearby hills as well as the distant mountain ranges and volcanos that inspire total peace and tranquility. Sonia and Eduardo are two beautiful human beings - genuinely friendly, generous and pleasant to share conversation with. They went beyond what would be expected of any airbnb hosts and made us feel right at home. One example: they have an herb and vegetable garden from which you can collect fresh items for consumption - cooked a healthy and delicious breakfast of scrambled eggs with fresh spinach, kale, green onion and pepper; all picked from their garden and the eggs provided by Sonia. Eduardo is a master arborist and their property features exotic tropical trees from which you're welcome to taste their delicious fruits. Would definitely return for another stay!

The most wonderful Airbnb!!! We had the best time in Turrialba at Sonia and Eduardo‘s place in this fantastic, tasteful studio with beautiful views over the mountains and the beautiful property with lots of fruit trees. The hospitality of the hosts was incredible. Also, everything was impeccably clean. The location is also ideal, close to Volcano Turrialba, Guayabo Monument and Waterfalls Las Trillizas. We would return in a heartbeat, a true gem.

We spontaneously stayed two nights longer because it was beautiful. Sonia and Eduardo are the perfect hosts. Very friendly, helpful and generous. We were allowed to harvest fruit and vegetables from the garden! The apartment is beautiful, you have a great view in the sun and it is very cozy in the rain. Everything is clean and the facilities are ideal for relaxing, cooking or working. The region is one of the most beautiful in Costa Rica. Moderate climate, great mountainous landscape with lots of greenery, away from the hustle and bustle. Turrialba has beautiful cafes, restaurants and more. We used the area especially for bird watching, very good spots nearby! Sonia and Eduardo have good contacts. The garden with its numerous fruits and hummingbirds, surrounded by mountains, is a highlight in itself. We would come back anytime!

What isn’t there to say about these hosts!? True Costa Rican hospitality at its finest. They were incredibly welcoming, informative, and knowledgeable—we learned so much just from chatting with them and spending time in their beautiful yard. From the local fruits to agriculture in Costa Rica, every conversation was a mini-lesson! The sunrise over the valley and the volcano was absolutely breathtaking. We feel so blessed to have had such a wonderful stay. Highly recommend!

Sonia and her husband are wonderful hosts! I can’t say enough about their warmth and hospitality. You don’t get this personal treatment at most Airbnb’s anymore as many have gotten impersonal compared to when we started using them, The loft is clean and comfortable, well laid out to utilize the space well, with the most amazing views you could ask for and treats left for us, eggs, fruit etc. The bed is comfortable, which is important when traveling across country! The bathroom was well appointed with soap, shampoo etc. if you need it. We enjoyed learning about their fruit farm and they also gave us recommendations for local sites and restaurants. We would LOVE to come back to stay and visit Sonia and her husband again! A note that driving to their place is up and around mountain curves on narrow roads, but I would imagine most visitors to Costa Rica are already aware and ready for this. It was our first time here so we had a bit of a learning curve on driving. 😊
