Katherine’s house was just perfect! A beautiful home with a great pool and lots of space. Walkable to restaurants and a comfortable area. We couldn’t have been more happy!

We enjoyed our stay immensely! The house is in a great location, quiet but close to the store, eating, and BEACH! and the yard and pool were wonderful! I will miss my morning coffee watching the hummingbirds and butterflies and listening to the howler monkeys! We hope for another visit!

Pool and backyard were phenomenal. Willie and Katherine are kind and responsive. Amenities and recommendations were great (check out Hemingways). We heard the monkeys and a cow strolled by the backyard to say hi.

We’ve had a wonderful one-week vacation at Katherine’s place. It’s a quiet, safe, well-supplied, rather big house with a nice pool — also close to the beach and a small commercial center in case you need anything (eg fresh croissants in the morning or pharmaceutical products) Very good value for $$.

This was our second time staying at Katherine’s house. We love it there so much! The location is AWESOME! Very close to lots of great restaurants and a great base for other areas of the Guanacaste province. The property manager, Willie…. Can’t say enough about how helpful and responsive he is! The home is comfortable and well equipped. The pool is sublime….perfect. We highly recommend this home.

Lovely home near one of the best beaches in the country! We were very comfortable during our 6 day stay, with 5 adults moving around, and felt very safe. Hosts were extremely kind and communicative, answering any questions we had about activities or eating recommendations. We loved sitting outside by the pool every morning and listening to the howler monkeys and watching the iguanas. Best trip we've taken and the memories we made we will cherish forever!

Amazing! House was great and well equipped but the pool and the yard is what truly made it amazing. Very private, beautiful pool, lots of covered areas, mango trees and wildlife! Location is great, it’s an easy walk to the beach and to nearby restaurants. Thanks so much. Family had a great stay!!

We had a great stay at Casa Tranquilla. Katherine and Willie were very responsive to our needs. The house was as described. We loved sitting in the rocking chairs under the shade by the pool. The wildlife was so fun -- we did see the monkeys pass by a few times. Like us, they seemed happy about the location. We stayed for 12 days, and I could work remotely during the week. The wifi in the house was strong enough for video calls. That said, Costa Rica has intermittent outages, and we experienced some brief loss of power and internet access a couple of times. It wasn't a surprise and didn't last long. If you haven't been to Costa Rica before, be aware that there aren't sidewalks in this area. The walk to town and the beach is along the roadside and on dirt trails. It's not a big deal and everything felt very close and safe, but it was helpful for us to know that going in. If you're looking for the beach, find the trail :) Thank you Katherine and Willie for the excellent stay!

Had a great time at this home. It is in a wonderful location, very secure, with a lush, private lot. Many extra amenities, Amazing pool, which was cleaned, along with the grounds, though the week. We loved the nearby beaches and restaurants. And Willie was really wonderful to us. Thank you!

The house was as advertised. The pool was spotless, and the landscaping was beautiful. Despite the suggestion to turn off the AC when leaving the house, which left us concerned about being comfortable while sleeping, the AC worked great, and we slept fantastically. Although we did not cook a lot, we never failed to find the utensils and pans etc. that we needed. All in all, it was a well-appointed house with towels, beach chairs everything we needed. And the wildlife showed up right on cue, we saw howler monkies, equanas, geckos, butterflies, and birds (even saw a parrott). Unfortunately we did not see the ten foot iguana that Willy bragged about, but several in the group were fine with that ;). Finally, Willy was a fantastic concierge/helper. Gave us great advice and is a pleasure to talk too. Only downside was the restaurant food in town was very pricy. Really had to follow Willies advice and go to the local mom and pop haunts for better food and better pricing.
