I have stayed in quite a few AirBNB’s in the past and the two in Costa Rica were the best I have ever stayed. Jorge’s place was magnificent. It was large, spectacular grounds and just large. We were a family of 11 and there was so much space for group time as well as private time for everyone. The bedrooms and bathrooms were magnificent and the driveway into the house was spectacular. It was also possible to easily walk to the butcher, fruit stands and market as well as a great modern Sports bar called Victorious. Very modern and very cool. The pool area and hot tub, lake and Sloth were amazing. My kids and grandkids had a great time and the activities around Fortunate are great for a family vacation. We did rafting, ATV’s, Zip lines - the hot springs. Perhaps the best part of this was the gardener/Caretaker Joaquin turned up in the afternoon with fresh fruit, made breadfruit for us and was a great experience. The cook Yadira made us 2 meals which were delicious. Highly recommended.

Thank you to Jorge and all the staff for an AMAZING stay! We had no difficulty with booking our stay right through our departure. Jorge was always fast in responses to questions and also made many great recommendations on what to do in the area while in La Fortuna area. The empanadas (made by Yadira)that were waiting for us upon arrival were yummy and a welcome treat after many hours of travel. We do have to say without a doubt that Joaquin made our trip most fabulous and unforgettable! His constant genuine care for our comfort and his love of sharing his own experiences and knowledge with us throughout our time was truly appreciated. The breakfast made up of produce from the farm that he prepared was a surprise and a tasty experience. He also made sure we had pool toys and the fountain running to make our pool time extra fun. The only downside to our stay was the slippery tile on the veranda from the pool to the house otherwise we highly recommend this place. Thanks for the memories!

There are truly not enough wonderful things I could say about this place. From the moment we booked this Airbnb, we were excited. The photos do not even begin to do the grounds justice. The care taken of this property really is shown in every detail. The rooms were well kept, the pool and hot-tub clear and warm, the yoga deck, a true sanctuary. You can tell this place is well loved and it was hard to leave at the end of our stay. Jorge was always available to answer questions and gave amazing suggestions for local attractions. Jordy was kind, thorough, prompt and easy to reach our entire stay. He was a blessing in helping us book last minute transfers, ordering amazing food (made by the marvelous Yadi) and even helped us book a local canyoning tour. He eased so much stress during the week, I cannot thank him enough. Joaquin gave us a tour through the grounds and you can tell he cares deeply about this place. Thank you a million times for letting us create such special memories.

Words can’t describe how wonderful our stay at this Airbnb was. The property was absolutely beautiful, from the interior to exterior, with everything exactly as described plus more. The hospitality was unmatched and any question we had was answered immediately. The true highlight of our trip was the groundskeeper Joaquin. He went above and beyond during our stay and even arranged for us to try a variety of fruit and snacks straight off the trees from the backyard. If I ever come back to Costa Rica, this is where I’ll be staying again, 10/10

Our entire family of 11, ranging from 9 to 78 years, thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful farmhouse and the gorgeous grounds that surrounded us. Our arrival was later than expected. We were greeted by Jordy, who graciously toured us around the house and answered all questions. Yadi and Estela, had prepared a wonderful meal that we chose from their menu a few days prior to our arrival. The home was kept very clean and Yadi made special towel art creations on each of our beds as a daily surprise which we all enjoyed, especially the kids. Joaquin gave us a fabulous tour around the muli-acre grounds of the property which he has taken care of for over two decades. We could feel his personal connection to the farm and pride in taking care of the property. The day following our tour with Joaquin, he left us with 2 platters of sliced and beautifully arranged fruit from the garden. Such gracious hospitality. The wildlife was amazing! We so enjoyed this unique property. Thank you!!

Ranch Villa Arenal exceeded our expectations. Beautiful location and grounds. Friendly welcoming staff. Yadi, Estella, Jordy and Joaquin were so kind and treated us like family. We enjoyed a wonderful farm tour with Joaquin on our last morning. An unexpected surprise was the ability to eat at the villa so often. We had daily breakfasts and a few dinners. The food was health and homemade, and delicious. Yadi was flexible with our special requests and allowed us more time to relax instead of constantly worrying about the next meal. The villa was very peaceful and we really enjoyed the pool, the yoga deck, and our morning coffee by the peaceful lagoon in between excursions in the La fortuna area! Tanque is small and about 10 minutes east of La fortuna, but felt safe. Excursions we did (tabacon hot springs, mistico hanging bridges, and sky adventures ziplining) were about 25-40 minutes from the villa (mostly due to winding roads and traffic in La fortuna) but this never felt burdensome.

The House and the grounds were very beautiful with nice gardens. Jaoquin who is the gardener was excellent and was very helpful and showed us the grounds including providing a detailed tour of the property. He pulled down fresh coconuts for all of us in the morning. Yadira the cook was excellent and cooked a very nice dinner for all of us including delicious dessert. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay at your place.

I can’t say enough about this property. It was absolutely beautiful, from the incredible grounds maintained by an amazingly knowledgeable and friendly Joaquin (who brought us coconuts and oranges grown on the property and gave us a tour of this amazing property) to the amazing meals made by Yadi (who was so pleasant, flexible, and provided TREMENDOUS meals. Jordy was super responsive and helpful as the local content, while Jorge helped prior to arrival and made us feel so comfortable and at ease. This is a 100/100, not 5/5. Do not hesitate to book your stay. We will stay here everytime we come to the rain forest part of Costa Rica, no doubt!

I can’t speak highly enough of this wonderful experience in paradise. I felt right at home and so comfortable here, had the most delicious food, and communicated with concierge to plan adventures with so much ease. I can’t wait to come back. Pura Vida!

Def worth coming Beautiful property on a working farm surrounded by tropical plants. The hosts gave us a farm tour w/ fresh fruit tastings. It was my friends 40th birthday & they surprised us w/ a personalized cake. The PM is the chef & her food was great! (Bring cash) The home is an open air FARMHOUSE w/ screened windows, so you are very immersed in nature (bugs). The grounds are amazing w/ a pool, jacuzzi, playground, yoga platform, lagoon, & bird watching. All bedrooms had AC, comfy beds, & reliable WiFi. The kitchen has everything you need, bring your own seasoning/oil. A few things to note (particularly for USA): most showers were room temperature except the 1st floor suite. We also had a few small maintenance issues, but they handled it immediately. The home is 30 min from La Fortuna, 2.5 hr drive from San Jose, 4hrs by shuttle, so a rental car is a must. Restaurant/grocery walkable. Overall great stay w/ wonderful hosts that made the little stuff mentioned easy to over look.

I was really looking forward to staying at Ranch Villa Arenal, and the real-life stay did not disappoint! This property is beautiful, inviting, and has everything we needed for a large group of travelers. We felt like we were in paradise, lounging in the backyard with so many stunning plants and birds all around. Jorge was communicative and welcoming and helped us coordinate check-in with an earlier-than-expected arrival. Joaquin shared his extensive knowledge of the grounds and surrounding area to make our stay more meaningful, and even brought us fresh-cut coconuts, plums, and mangosteens one morning, which tasted amazing! Yadi and Estela made sure we had everything we needed and kept the house pristine, which is no small feat considering its size and location in nature. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to all my friends!

It's a great place to stay, it has everything you need to have a pleasant stay. The amenities are spectacular… pool, jacuzzi, yoga deck, amazing terrace to spend the afternoon, watch the sunset from the hammock or the rocking chairs that are super comfortable! Joaquin is a very helpful person who brought us fresh coconuts and showed us all the fruit trees and plantations on the farm. We would definitely come back!!

Great location and a beautiful home that has been maintained impeccably by the staff. Yadi and Estela prepared wonderful breakfasts and dinner for our party and kept the home spotless. Joaquin, the gardener, gave us a tour of the grounds and was an absolute delight. The amenities exceeded our expectations as well. We would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a hidden gem of a retreat in the Arenal / La Fortuna area.

Exceptional! This is our second visit in 2 years. A private secure oasis. Looking forward to going back in the future. The one recommendation I have is adding railing to the hot tub. It has a very steep step which made it impossible for me to enjoy.
