We spent great days in the hidden house. Best impossible location, in front of the beach and the wave of backwash. spacious rooms and great beds. we will return
We Stayed at Casa Escondida with the family. It was a lovely experience. Right next to the beautiful beach of backwash. The house was beautiful and clean, with 2 big bedrooms each with their own bathrooms. The kitchen was a little small, but it balanced well with having the upper deck to enjoy having food in the outdoors. We saw monkeys, armadillos, toucans and more right next to the house! The manager there, Doña Irma and her husband were super sweet and took really good care of us. There is another house right next to Casa Escondida, Casa Luz, they were doing a yoga retreat there and it was calm and peaceful and we didn't feel at all bothered by being close. There was good natural separation with the landscaping. And yeah... the beach 25 steps away is priceless.
Amazing place in a perfect location. We loved the sound of the surf, the outdoor shower for rinsing off, the monkeys and toucans in the trees and the private path through the forest to the beach. The house is clean, well organized and as described. No AC but the fans move the air well and the place is well screened so sleeping is easy and worry free. Would definitely come back.
We had a wonderful time in this cozy jungle house with its rustic Charme and close proximity to the beach. Literally only a few steps and you‘re right at backwash bay, a beautiful and peaceful beach where you can spot macaws, pelicans and every once in a while a small seaturtle sticking its head out of the ocean to take a breath. The house is big enough for 6 people and is basically surrounded by the jungle. Lying on the bed, we were able to spot monkeys, Capybaras and even an Amadillo. However, there is a neighboring house with a big garden, so you might not only have the sounds of howler monkeys and the ocean to wake up to. A pleasant surprise were the caretakers who live behind the house (but shielded off by a hedge to still feel private) who made sure we had clean sheets and towels every few days and took care of the trash (and considering all the animal sounds at night it was quite a relief to know we were not all alone 😉). It is truly a special place to unwind and explore!
