We enjoyed staying at Chris place . We could move easy to San Juan and to other beaches . We enjoyed cooking together in the big outdoor kitchen. We are planing to go again next year .

The stay where Chris and Beth was spectacular. They were both very friendly. The place is much better than what's shown in the photos. The last part of the road was a little slippery because it is dirt and it rained. But we definitely fell in love with the place and want to come back. Thank you so much Chris and Beth.

The place is very nice and quiet, everything is very clean and Chris was always there to help I would have liked the pool a little more lighting but in general terms the place is a 100

Chris was amazing to work with. We brought our family of 9 to their place and enjoyed grounds. The open air kitchen was a perfect place for us to get together and share stories at the end of fun days exploring, sailing, surfing and shopping. We were in the pool daily. Rooms & bathrooms were comfortable and offered plenty of privacy. An ideal trip for all of us!

The pictures don't do justice to this haven of paradise. The place is good for big groups welcoming families. Everyone has their privacy but the shared kitchen and pool are the gathering places. The employees are helpful and friendly. Chris is attentive to everyone's need, always available when needed and very helpful with local suggestions. He is very quick to find solutions in case of problems. We loved our stay and our departure was heartbroken.

Dharma Shala is a magical place and Chris and Beth are the most wonderful hosts. My family of 4 stayed here for a month and we immediately felt at home. This little paradise is in the perfect location - tucked away in total privacy where you can enjoy the sights and sounds of nature, but close enough to beaches and town to enjoy great food and entertainment. The outdoor kitchen is such a treat, I already miss our family time together there. Chris and Beth were so welcoming and kind. They shared all sorts of interesting knowledge of the area and allowed us to participate in their efforts to tend to their land and grow food. We can't wait to visit again!

Wow! Wow! Wow! What Chris and Beth set up with Dharma Shala is special! Such a magical and peaceful place with so much love in detail. The focus is on nature and that energy is palpable. From homemade soaps, the wonderful outdoor kitchen, organic paths and shapes, the nature pool, to the covered yoga platform in the middle of the forest. It is very clean, thoughtful and built with a great sense of aesthetics. The two are very helpful, open and kind and always have a tip ready. San Juan de Sur can be reached in about 15 minutes by car. The beaches in the area are beautiful We fell in love and will be back for sure. Our daughter misses you already :-) Thanks for everything!!!

It was really fantastic! What a beautifully clean and relaxed stay. Chris and his wife are hugely sweet and helpful people who made our stay very pleasant. He told us a lot about the future plans of their country and the surrounding area. We wish them all the best for the future and highly recommend this accommodation and people!

Great hosts Chris and Beth. Friendly and attentive, excellent yoga class. Nice scenery. Very clean place, comfortable rooms. Atmosphere. Ideal for relaxation and meditation and rest.

Our family of 10 enjoyed our stay here. The pictures posted don’t do this place justice! The place is beautiful and well maintained. Location is great and close proximity to the beaches and town center. The host provides delicious breakfast and is very helpful if you have any questions or need help. We will definitely come back next time we visit San Juan del Sur. Recommended 100%.

second go around, this time with a new crew at chris & beths lovely place. just as last time there is never quite enough time to relish in the beauty, as the space can become timeless and suddenly the day of departure has arrived. cheers to the continued banana bowls & impromptu dinner gatherings - until next time!

My family enjoyed this place the entire week we visited during Semana Santa. My 84 years old grandmother loved, loved the rancho kitchen area, and the yoga studio. The rancho kitchen was the perfect place for a family gathering. It was clean and stocked. Our plan was to spend most of the time at the beach but we ended up spending more time at this place because was so enjoyable and relaxing. One morning all the beautiful birds came to visit while we were having breakfast, and my Grandmother identified the national bird of Nicaragua. It was a great pleasure to be there having my Grandmother occupied and teaching us the names of all the birds. Las casitas were spacious and comfortable. We all love the decorations and the hot showers. The pool during the full moon was a great experience for my cousins and my niece 11 month old baby. We also enjoyed Charlita, a very friendly dog. My entire family enjoyed Beth welcoming and attentiveness. Every time we had a question or needed something, Beth was available and helpful. Also, Beth taught us how to make soap and we truly hope to continue making more. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The beautiful garden throughout the property is inspirational and peaceful. We loved this place and we hope to come back soon

Beth and Chris- a dynamic duo, full of life and spunk. A few cheesy truths; these are a deeply intelligent, communicative, and kind pair soaked in calm and present energy. They will steer you towards the right recommendations and make your stay a curated and once in a lifetime experience. The warmth of their space and radiates through and through. You’ll see shades of brown you never knew possible, you’ll watch wildlife appear outside your bedroom door. Their 11 cats are their own storybook that has come to life, alongside sweet Charlie, their angelic dog. We found ourselves moving slower and breathing deeper as soon as you arrived. Thank you for creating and opening your space to us, to providing our crew with a bundle of magic. We left with full bellies, clear minds, and an open hearts and aching to stay.
