The area is beautiful. You can travel to La Fortuna or Monteverde easily. We booked this place in a hurry and just before arriving we found out the pool was under maintenance. But the host was great and we had a delicious breakfast.

Kee and his wife were wonderful hosts and made us feel right at home. The location was perfect, and our kids loved the swings, trampoline, and all the animals right outside our front door. Kee’s wife prepared an incredible breakfast each morning—the Swedish pancakes were especially delicious! Since we visited during the off-season, the larger pool wasn’t available for swimming, but the smaller pool was perfect for our three-year-old. Being surrounded by the jungle, we did encounter a few cockroaches and geckos in the evenings, but that’s fairly typical in this environment and didn’t take away from our experience. We also enjoyed walking into the nearby town for lunch and dinner. The Hot Lava Café quickly became our favorite spot. Overall, we had an amazing stay and would absolutely recommend this property to families looking for an affordable, unique jungle experience with warm, welcoming hosts. We’d happily stay here again!

Kees was very accommodating and friendly. The location is great with many awesome spots around. Very quiet and beautiful town. Views are breathtaking and the nature is lush and gorgeous! Kids loved the grounds and the pool. The breakfast was great.

We have had a nice time. Lovely location; although it was very windy, the garden itself was reasonably sheltered from the wind. We were a bit surprised that you have 2 apartments right next to each other and also share the terrace. Something to keep in mind. Breakfast is highly recommended! Thank you, Kees!

Our stay at Kees's place was very pleasant. Kees and his wife were very kind. The view is spectacular, there is plenty of nature, and waking up to visits from toucans, guans, and a howler monkey made this trip memorable. Cookie was the best host dog we’ve ever met!

Great stay at Kees'! He was super helpful and friendly. We had a great wake-up call with a howler monkey right next to our cabin! Then we were able to observe it all morning! In the morning we had a delicious lunch made by Kees' wife! It was perfect!!

Kees was a great host, friendly and helpful. He offered to show us birds and tell us if the sloth showed up in the morning, but my kids saw the sloth themselves that evening. We ordered breakfast from him, which was the best we had in Costa Rica! A great mix of local gallo pinto and pancakes, smoothies and juice. Great way to start our time in beautiful Costa Rica!
