3BR Villa in Playa Grande

Excellent, 1 month ago

We stayed at Casa el Coco for a week and had a wonderful time. In the dark our driver had a hard time finding the place, however, Manfred was very responsive and met us to direct us to the right location. The house is as described. The backyard was lush & private. The pool was clean & a great addition to have when you’re tired of the waves. Perfect location, a short walk to an incredible beach and the best restaurant in Costa Rica only steps away. We ate at Cafe Mar Azul almost every night and every dish we tried was spectacular! Manfred was extremely helpful and very responsive. He recommended our airport shuttle transport, surf lessons and our rental car which made everything easy. We felt very safe in the area & at the house. The security system worked well. Our 8 year old had plenty to do on the beach searching for shells, hermit crabs, crabs, playing in tide pools, boogie boarding & surfing. If you’re looking for a relaxing vacation on an incredible beach I would highly recommend.

Manfred was an outstanding host, and our stay exceeded expectations. The house was spotless, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The neighborhood was fantastic—safe, welcoming, and full of great restaurants and local spots within easy reach. One of the highlights was the unique local experience, including a fish vendor who brought fresh seafood right to the door. The pool was excellent and made for a perfect place to relax and unwind. Manfred was responsive, helpful, and made the entire experience seamless. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to return. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful stay at Casa De Coco. We had a little trouble finding Manfred's place to check in. Probably more our misinterpretation of the directions than anything. But once we found him he was quick to show us the house and pertinent particulars. I appreciated him letting us know he was there if we needed anything, but he otherwise he kept a very low profile. the house was as described. We thought it was much nicer than the pictures suggested. The beach access is literally a 3 minute easy walk, you can hear the ocean while lounging out back of the house. The backyard pool was spotless and along with the garden and privacy fence felt like our own private oasis. Manfred helped us get hooked up with a local guy who comes by periodically t/o the week selling fresh fish and shrimp( mostly frozen, but already cleaned!) It was delicous. There are a number of good restrauants just a short walk from the house. Mercados for groceries, and beverages just a short 10-12 minute drive away.

We are a family of 4 with 2 elementary age children. Manfred's place, Casa El Coco, was fabulous. It had everything we could possibly need. It was clean, safe, private, and yet walkable to the beach and restaurants. It's in a lovely community and the kids really enjoyed it. The pool was a huge bonus and if it were up to the children, they would stay in the pool all day, every day. Manfred and Trevor were extremely responsive and helpful. The location of the house, once inside the gate, was tricky for us to find but it was also night time and we had no cell service to connect with Manfred. We stopped at a restaurant that was in the community and were able to use their phone to call Manfred. He immediately came to meet us at the restaurant and brought us to the house. In short, we couldn't have asked for anything more. It was fabulous! Thank you, Manfred!

Beautiful, private home with pool, walkable to the beach and our favorite restaurant, Cafè Mar Azul. Walk over and get your reservation for dinner, the food is fabulous and large portions for leftovers. Manfred provided beach chairs, towels, boogie boards, and outdoor hoses and showers to wash off after the beach. We saw some amazing sunsets over the ocean and monkeys passing over in the trees as we walked back home. We will definitely come back, it accommodated our family of four very well! We ordered croissants and pretzels from Manfred, and they were nice to have for breakfast and snacks! The tap water was good and he also provided a 5 gallon filtered jug and cooler. There is a grocery store within walking distance too. We decided we wouldn’t need a car next time, just shuttle from Liberia airport and walk everywhere else. Las Tortugas Hotel, north , along the beach, can plan a lot of activities for you too. We did surfing lessons with Yei (Jay) and he was great….
