Such a lovely home!! Looked just as beautiful as the photos. We had the best stay and enjoyed everything about it. Myrna let us check in early which was so kind!

Spacious and private compound within walking distance to the point at Sunzal. The home was so comfortable and well laid out with a central living and kitchen area. There were plenty of outdoor activities including ping pong, a pool, bbq, coconut cutting station, various hammocks and even an oceanview covered lounge area. This home exceeded our expectations and the onsite manager, Chepe, was very responsive. His wife cooked us a delicious traditional chicken dinner. Highly recommended.

This is my second time booking this house! I loved it so much the first time and left wishing I had spent more time enjoying the pool and nearby beach. This second time around we built in a relax day at the house and it was perfect. There’s a washing machine so it’s easy to wash clothes and let them air dry. Chepe, who takes care of the house, is so attentive and helpful. It’s located super close to a main road and it’s just so easy to access. It is a must stay if you want to be close to el tunco but not in the chaos! It is such a great house with so much to see.

This is my fourth time staying here and definitely will be staying again. Don Chepe the caretaker is always very attentive.

Absolutely loved this house so much that we extended our stay and have already talked about going back! It was a little difficult to locate so I put in a nearby hotel to find it and house manager/owner were very communicative and helpful. It was roomy, pool was great, ocean views amazing, and we loved that it wasn’t in the heart of el tunco, but just close enough to go everyday.

As always, it was a great stay. I can't wait to come back.

Very spacious and comfortable house, good location!

We absolutely loved our stay in Sunzal at this beautiful home. It was perfect for our wild little children, and even for my baby. Chepe and Ramon were so helpful and got us tons of coconuts. The pool was just amazing. We highly recommend staying here, and I cannot wait to go back!

We really liked Myrna's house; we will definitely be back. Everything was super clean and very comfortable. It's an excellent beach house, and Chepe was always available for anything we needed.

We had another amazing stay! This was our second time here, and it truly feels like a home away from home. The house is in the perfect location, with all the amenities you could possibly need. Everything was fantastic from start to finish. Myrna and her assistants , Chepe and Marta are wonderful as well. Myrna always available, responsive, and so helpful with anything we needed. Their kindness and attention made our stay even more special. We will definitely continue staying here whenever we visit El Salvador. 10/10, highly recommend!

Awesome place!

It was absolutely incredible! The house is spacious and it is incredibly close to the beach. If you aren’t a beach person the pool is great too. The team was very responsive and el Tunco was a quick drive away. Ubers are accessible! Definitely booking again when I return with a new team of volunteers later this year, everyone loved this house we wished we spent a full day enjoying the amenities and space. If you have a jam packed trip, allocate a day to enjoy the gorgeous views and space itself. Thank you Myrna and Chepe for taking such great care of us!

Myrna’s place is fantastic. The open concept of the living room and dining room is great in the kitchen comes equipped with what you need. The showstopper is definitely the backyard and pool area very wide open for a property in Sunzel which is very rare. It’s a short walk to the beach through the back door. And you can see plenty of the surf from any of the second story. Sunzel point break is a short walk. I would just suggest bringing a set of sandals to stash while you surf. We walked easily with our toddlers to el Tunco direct from the house. Thank you so much!

You had to follow the instructions to get there, because there is no exact address. However, the host was always available to answer any questions we had and was waiting for us to guide us upon arrival. The house was simply beautiful. The typical decorations brought a warm atmosphere. Chepe was always available, did the cleaning daily and also took care of the pool maintenance. The views are spectacular, especially on the beach and sunsets. The location is excellent: you can easily find local restaurants, vendors and markets, but also grocery stores, a Dollar City and very good restaurants with sea views. The house is spacious, comfortable and perfectly suitable for families or groups. We felt like we were in a hotel, with all the comforts of home. I would recommend it in a second!

When we come to surf in El Salvador, we normally stay at k59. this is the first time we stayed at sunzal and we will definitely be back. Location is great, you can walk to the main surf break which is somewhere crowded but easy to catch waves. Definitely recommend if you're surfing and looking for a great place to stay and check out the area and get some great waves.

its was a nice place to stay at. the pool was nice and tge access to the beach was a plus. its near acouple of good restaurants, and it had a nice yard.

We had a wonderful stay at Myrna’s place at Casa Sunzal. Even though we couldn’t access a sandy beach we walked the rocky shoreline to get to El Tunco where we could watch great surfing. Chepe and his family were available when needed. They were both friendly and helpful. The house and grounds were very nice. The lookout deck was wonderful to view the ocean. The pool was clean and well kept. The Salvadorian decor in the Airbnb added to our experience in Central America.

We had a beautiful stay at Myrna’s place! Private and perfect for our girls weekend. Super Quick uber in and out of town. We were rarely at the house but when we were, it was the perfect pool day!

We had a group of 5 and loved our stay! Very relaxing, pool was great and ready for us when we arrived. Bedrooms were cool and comfortable we all slept great. We also loved the coconuts. We didn’t walk around much but driving distance is el tunco which u can walk to. I definitely recommend staying here!

I liked the house very much, good space and areas to share and have a good time. José's service is always attentive to any issue. Overall, I think it's an excellent place!

BOOK THE TRIP! This place is AMAZING. Even bigger and better than in the photos. Close to Tunco - can walk beach or drive to Tunco in 5 minutes. 10 minute walk to surf Sunzal. So much fun.

My group had an amazing time at Casa Sunzal! El Sunzal surf spot is ~2 minute walk away and very easy to get to from the house. Chepe was a great host and was very responsive/flexible if anything came up. Would highly recommend anyone to stay at Casa Sunzal if you are planning a surf trip to El Salvador.

The house was right on the water and as described. The house was just off the main road which made easy access for just about anywhere we wanted to go. Myrna was also easy to communicate with. I would definitely stay at Myrna's home in the future and would recommend this home to anybody looking to stay in Sunzal.

Myrna’s place was great! So many cool places to hang out with your crew, right near the beach, and right down the street from some fabulous pupusas (Caroline’s Pupuseria). Though we didnt work directly with Myrna while on our stay, her local support personnel, specifically Chepe, were stellar!! They were more than helpful when we had to deal with an issue. Great spot for bigger groups with plenty of local support!

great spot, 15 min beach walk to el Tunco, it's a nice place with plenty of space, uber was able to pick us up and drop off multiple times, beautiful sunsets at beach club and restaurant around the corner.

My friends and I spent 7 wonderful nights at Myrna's Airbnb in February. Beds were comfortable, Myrna & Chepe were responsive, and the pool was simply perfect! We also loved the upper deck which was perfect for yoga, reading, and watching the sunset. Location was great as we were able to access food options and surf breaks on foot or by car! Lastly, plenty of drinking water and fresh coconuts provided directly at the villa were greatly appreciated.

We enjoyed our 14-day stay at this traditional El Salvadoren home. Each bedroom is air-conditioned. It was exceptionally hot so air was a blessing to have, as well as the large pool. Chepe and Martha who take care of this large home are very responsive and make you feel like you're welcomed. From this home, you can hang out on the El Sunzal beach which is more local oriented and less populated. Or, take a short walk along the coast to El Tunco where you'll find more tourists and great surfing. The sunsets seen from the home are breathtaking. I especially enjoyed watching the squirrels run up and down the tall coconut trees. Iguanas visited the roof top often with us soon looking forward to hearing them scurry across the tin roof. This is an area that is under building construction but not once did we feel unsafe. We often walked to Cafe Sunzal, a very good restaurant. And if you enjoy a good beer Cadejo Brewery was another favorite with Glory being our favorite server.

This place was very close to the beach and very private. There was a fully stocked kitchen, two tv’s, lots of space, ac in the bedrooms, clean pool and huge yard. Pictures are accurate and I loved the Salvadorean decor around the home. The caretaker Don Chepe was very friendly and accommodating and helped out with any questions we had.

Myrna’s tropical getaway is absolutely amazing and highly recommended for your next holiday! What a fantastic property with pool, large flat grounds and gate access directly to the stream and beach. The “sunset deck” was a highlight and all the rooms have AC. Myrna’s place is A+

Very nice house , we loved the pool

We very much enjoyed our stay at Casa Sunzal, Myrna was absolutely wonderful and Chepe was also so helpful. Surf, naps in cold ac and a pupusaria in walking distance what more could you want?

One of the best stays in the Sunzal/El Tunco area. Easily walkable to El tunco if you don't want to drive. The walk to Sunzal is quick and short. The pool and upstairs deck completed the bnb. No complaints from me. I will definitely look to book again in the future.

Amazing host, home, and view!

We had an unforgettable weekend at Myrna's house. We were with a baby and friends and we really enjoyed the house and pool. chepe was attentive the whole time and I help us mucjo. we will repeat!!!

It was perfect for our week with family in the beautiful country of El Salvador. Chepe was very helpful and Myrna was understanding when our initial flight got cancelled and we had to come in a day later.

The house was absolutely beautiful. I am happy I stayed here, everything was perfect. The sound of the waves, the clean bathrooms, cold rooms, and the outdoor amenities made our stay feel so relaxing and peaceful. Don Chepe was there to receive us as soon as we arrived and was very nice. Hope to be back soon.

First of all, I want to say thank you to the caretaker Don Chepe. Thanks to him we found the house; it was hard to find it especially it was on a holiday “January 1st” it was crazy that day. Don Chepe was so kind because he found us a ride to go to el Tunco Beach. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ It was a safe trip. Secondly, the house it was clean! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ the rooms were big.! The only thing I will say it is that the living room and dinning room need A/C 🥵🥵🥵. I like the pool because it was clean and big. The BBQ area and the hammock area are a plus! Other thing that I like that the house it is really private. Definitely, I recommend this house.

Fantastic place situated right between waves at El Zonte and El Tunco, not a far walk to El Sunzal wave either. Along with the house a very attentive property manager is on call for any house issues or questions. Highly recommended for your stay. I do recommend using a GPS and using the corner Pupusaria to find the turn to the road the house is on as the hand written directions given by the host are out of date due to all of the development going on in the area. 10/10 would stay again.

Such a beautiful place with fantastic view. The pool and outdoor shower was my favorite. Cheepe checked us in and was very nice. He even got us fresh coconut, how sweet. Such an adorable human being, he’s so kind. Myra Always responde fast. We also used the pick up service from the airport and it went so smooth. Definitely recommended and I will bring my family back yay

My family and I stayed in a few Airbnb’s while in El Salvador and Myrna’s place was definitely a crowd- favourite. Chepe was incredible helpful and accommodating despite my family’s horrible sense of direction and tardiness to check in. The home was exactly as advertised, clean, spacious, with all the little extras you would need in a beach house. It was truly a wonderful experience.

What a great time. Everyone we met in El Salvador was great. Chepe took care of everything we needed. Marta and her friend prepared the best meals. And their songs were lovely. Francisco showed us around the country side and took us on sone really cool volcano hikes. It was a pleasure spending time with everyone. It really made the house feel like home. Great location. Peaceful and safe. Less than 10 mins walk to Olalai. Cleaned pools and backyard. Enjoyed our stay! Cheep was always available when needed.

Myrna was an absolutely fantastic host. Very flexible with checkin and checkout and helped us coordinate airport pick up and drop off. The house was beautiful. The hammocks were so relaxing with a great view of the beach. There are so many amenities that you didn’t even need to leave the house. The one drawback is that walking into the town along the road was kind of far and meant walking along a busy road and walking along the beach was only possible at certain times of day because of the tides. But it was easy to find someone to drive us into town for a good price and again, the house was so beautiful that if you were just looking for a relaxing vacation, you really didn’t need to leave. Would absolutely recommend Myrna to anyone going to surf city

We had a great stay at casa Sunzal. Both Myrna and Chepe were very helpful with anything we needed. The house was the perfect setup for my group of 6 surfers. Backyard and pool was where we spent all of our time and was very nice to have. Location was a little outside the main area of El tunco but I enjoyed our walks into town each day, maybe about 1 mile to the main area of bars and restaurants in town. Lots of rocks you have to walk along the beach but you get use to this after the first day. Only a 5 minute and $5 taxi can take you from the house to town if needed. Having the Olalai beach lounge around the corner from the house was very helpful and a good spot to watch the sunset. If you are surfing definitely contact Carlos or Tamayo at El Salvador Surf Adventures for surf guides and rides to the breaks. Also Suni at the Day cafe and spa was our go to for getting massages at the house after surfing. We would definitely stay here again!

Chepe and Marta were super welcoming and really thoughtful. Chepe was always available to offer us transportation as needed. Their presence really made a difference in our stay! The location is perfect for people who want to surf, El Tunco beach is right next door and easily accessible by foot (you just need sandals because the path is rocky). The village of El Tunco is a short walk to the beach, it's done very well when the tide is not too high. There are several restaurants there, which are rarer around the house. It is a very quiet place, we felt safe there. Everything was as advertised and communication was easy. We loved our stay!

Great place! Will visit again

I stayed here for a month and Myrna’s house served as a great home base. Super close to Sunzal point break surf and a great place to just hang out for the day by the pool. Hopefully I can stay here again when I come back! Thank you Myrna, chepe and Marta for everything!

The house is great, plenty of space to spread out and the location is sick! Surf is just a few steps out the back door and the sound of the waves will put you to sleep at night. Chepe is great. The whole crew that helped kept us stocked with whatever we needed and made sure our stay was comfortable. Would go again.

We had lovely time at this beautiful house. Falling asleep and waking up to the sounds of waves is very relaxing, exactly what we were looking for. Fully equipped kitchen, outside BBQ and pool are a huge plus. AC in bedrooms to keep you cooler at night. Great restaurants near by, and for the surf lovers El Tunco is just 5 min away driving. We love it!

Beautiful location, awesome pool, very spacious and the perfect place for my family before my wedding. My only regret is we couldn’t stay longer to enjoy it fully but we will be back!!
