Very nice house with the best view for watching the sunset, spacious and very comfortable! Recommended!
We went in February and the weather was great, cool during the day and a pleasant cold at night. The house has a fully equipped kitchen, table and chairs for 11 guests, which made our stay very comfortable. In addition, the spaces are quite open and there is a large terrace, which allowed us to feel comfortable. The garden and the beautiful flowers. Within the community, near the house, we discovered that there is a small market store, restaurant and a lake. The only thing that is a bit uncomfortable is that if you sleep on the first floor, you hear all the noise (footsteps, doors, if they talk) from the second floor because the floor is wooden. The house is ideal to disconnect from the noise of the city and enjoy good weather and good food.

This home is a piece of heaven right here on earth. Incredible views of the Chagres National Park and Lake Alajuela from the outdoor patio. Three floors plus a tower room on top, affording 360 degree views. Wonderful spring climate with outdoor activities like swimming at Charco Azul and hiking on the trails. Our host was responsive and kind.

The house is very spacious and nice. Its location gives a privileged view of the mountains. The house has space for 14 people without any problem and its various areas allow you to do different types of activities such as exercise, billiards, barbecue, etc. Even a small solarium on the top floor. Karel and Luis were very friendly and always available for our questions. The house only requires a little more cleaning, as it is surrounded by nature.
The property has a location that allows one of the best climates I have had when visiting Cerro Azul, lots of fog, gentle winds and the windows of the house allow you to enjoy the outdoors from the inside. The entrance to the house is very steep, so you need to be quick and careful at the same time to go up and park. It is a property to enjoy very well with family and friends.
The place was just as described on Airbnb: spacious, immersed in nature. Being at a high point, it offered spectacular views of the valley and amazing sunsets. We went in summer and the weather was very nice, with very cool nights (wear warmth). The kitchen was well equipped and comfortable for 13 people. The BBQ area was spotless, as was the gardening. Karel and Luis respond quickly. The driveway ramp is steep, so we recommend a 4x2 or 4x4 car. The rooms were spacious: one with a king bed and an ensuite bathroom, one with two double beds, another with two queen beds and the last one with two double beds and two twin beds. There is hot water and washer/dryer, although the listing indicates otherwise. All beds have bedding and towels, and the rooms have fans (AC is not required, with the weather there was room for bedding). For entertainment, two TVs with Netflix and lots of board games! We have a phenomenal time!
Well lived housed in a beautiful location. We saw a lot of wildlife and enjoyed the hikes in the area. Great place for those who wish to spend most of their time outside. Smaller 4x4 cars recommended for the area and especially for the driveway to the house.
The house is just as seen in the pictures, from the pictures of the rooms to the haze. The entrance to the house itself is very steep, it is better if they carry at least 4x2 vehicles. There are many beds available and the atmosphere is very cozy and relaxed. Perfect for a relaxing few days.
Lovely house. I rented it to have a BBQ for my 45th birthday and we couldnt be happier. Lovely views, close to lakes and trails, and birds and butterflies everywhere. Will come back for sure!
My family and I had a great vacation at Karel's place. The house is very well maintained and is very well equipped to accommodate large groups. We loved the location as it is not on the main street of Cerro Azul, which maintains a very calm and silent environment. Exactly what you need to relax. We arrived at the house with no problem and the entrance was very simple. Karel and her co-host were very friendly and communicative. We would definitely go back to this house on an upcoming walk to Cerro Azul.
The house is beautiful, excellent for a quiet weekend with the family.
