9BR Villa in Tulum

Jessie

Excellent, 1 year ago

We found this place for my bachelorette. It was the perfect space for us! There is a great restaurant located just behind the airbnb that was great for coffee, breakfast and lunch choices. It is VERY walkable to great restaurants, night life. We also loved just hanging out at the bnb - pool and space is great. Would recommend!

A little oasis in Tulum Town – 100% recommendation! Aquaviva delighted us completely as a group of 10. As soon as you arrive, you can feel the special atmosphere of Aqualum. It's warm, inviting, and with a wonderful, soothing energy. Everything is designed with so much love that you feel right at home – almost like coming home. The communication with Jose was great and accommodating and he was able to give us many tips. All of our needs and requests have been met attentively. The rooms are stylish, photogenic, clean and generously furnished. Whether in the morning in the sun by the pool, cooking together or in the evening in front of the fireplace – every moment was special. A special highlight was the Temazcal ceremony, which we booked directly on site. The location is also top: central in Tulum Town, We were all very positively impressed and can wholeheartedly recommend this place. Thank you for this wonderful time. We will be happy to come back!

i must say that the host there treat us nice in the beginning. but there was few things that was not clear. it says on the posts this place is for party and it's ok to make noise. but when we got there they wanted more money if we wanted to put music. i don't think that it's bad house. but we paid a lot of money and i felt like they very greedy about every little thing. also there was an old chair that broke because the wood was rotten and someone just sit on it and it broke not to mention he hurt his hand because of it. i took pictures of the rotten wood and the chair. he tried to way overcharge me for it obviously i didn't pay it. but i didn't like that they trying to get more money on every small thing. i would recommend you before you close to ask questions you have maybe it will be different.

Communication with owner was not good. Didn't respond for weeks. Property did not look like it did in the photos and was falling apart& not clean. There was mold in the coffee maker, stove we couldn't turn on so we wasted money on groceries(that we gave to a kind staff member we hardly saw) towels smelled, large roaches creeped into the shower& large spiders all over property, upstairs bedrooms not accessible, some showers didn't have hot water, and pool was not clean. We worked with an outside concierge service in order to make plans because owners communication was poor. I have NEVER written a bad review and have stayed in a less "glamorous" airbnb in Cuba. The difference was the hospitality and communication. I am very disappointed with how this experience went for our group. Potheads the coffee shop attached to the house did have great hospitality.

Large space surrounding a beautiful pool. Keep in mind my group stayed 8/1-8/4 and the upper level is under construction. So you will not have access to the whole upper area. This was not relayed to us but Jose accommodated us with early/late check out as compensation. There is also someone (sometimes three people) on the property during the day which we were unaware of-not helpful, we asked for more toilet paper and did not get. Some issues with electricity and air conditioning but Jose was very responsive and came over to fix. Overall good location and price for 15 people, just some things to note.

This stay was magical. We had 15 people and stayed for a week and we were so obsessed with the villa that we spent a couple of days just lounging by the pool. The crew on site were great, always responsive and helpful when needed. The rooms were second to none. Location wise I don’t think you can get in a better spot in Tulum. It’s away from the hotel district, but it’s an affordable area with plenty of dining options and things to do. And the central location made it easier to get to some of our inland experiences. By far one of the best places I’ve ever stayed, if not the best. Couldn’t recommend it more.

We had a bachelor party here with 15 guests and it was perfect. Beautiful, private, large property, just as the photos depict. Jose was easy to communicate with and was very responsive. They helped us coordinate airport shuttles, find a driver, hire a private chef and bartender, gave us local recommendations, and even helped us get groceries prior to our stay. The beautiful coffee shop attached to the back of the property is such a perk. One of the bathrooms was disconnected from all plumbing / water, which was inconvenient. But besides that one point, we had such an excellent stay. Highly recommend!

What an amazing villa to celebrate my partner's and my 30th birthdays! We were 22 guests total, and there was plenty of space for everyone. The rooms were clean and well presented, there was ample space for us all to hang out throughout our long weekend, and the hosts were great and responding to any questions and requests we had during our stay. The property is gorgeous, with a maintenance crew on-site to help keep the whole villa clean. Pool was in excellent shape and cleaned daily. Jose, the concierge, provided excellent service and recommendations; we had an amazing private chef dinner, group dinner at a restaurant, and lovely catamaran tour with excellent transportation service all thanks to his help and company recommendations. Also less than 30 minutes from the main downtown strip of Tulum with great bars and restaurants, hard to beat that kind of location for a property that can host so many. Thank you so much Gero and Jose!
