Josh the care taker was awesome very helpful, he even went out his way to find a windshield replacement place and even called to alert them I was coming. great place with delicious mangos fresh off the tree on the property.

Nice private home near Hopkins. Felt very safe. Lots of appliances and spices for cooking. Main house plus master bedroom is up 15 stairs. In the garage there is a second bedroom plus full bathroom. Through this room you can access a screened in patio with two hammocks and a table with chairs. Very nice area for morning coffee. Great space for families.

This home was perfect for our family's visit to Belize! You can actually drink the tap water. This is a big deal in Central America and Belize. The house has more parking than we could have ever needed, with a large yard for kids to play. The full size washer/dryer was a huge plus. The A/C works great in every room and the home was fully stocked for cooking. We loved walking down to the Sittee River and exploring Cockscomb wildlife sanctuary. It was only 15 minutes from Hopkins and an hour from Placencia and Belmopan. The co-hosts were amazing. From offering local tour guides to local restaurants. We just missed mango season but we arrived to 3 large bags of fresh cut mangos in our refrigerator. They showed our kids where to find cherries and star fruit growing on the outside trees. On our final day, I got a flat tire, but they were right there, with a compressor and a local expert to repair my tire within minutes. I can not say enough good things about the co-hosts and this stay.

Had a fantastic 5-night stay at the Toucan Guest House. Comfortable, well-appointed house in an ideal location. It is close to both Cockscomb and Bocawina—two of our favorite jungle reserves—so we had no problem getting to both during prime early morning birding hours. It was even close to Hopkins for restaurants, groceries, and the beach. Hosts were fantastic. We highly recommend.

We loved our stay here! Loved the walk to the river and all the birds along the way. Josh was so nice. Provided us with privacy yet available to help when needed (we locked ourselves out). Felt safe.

The house was perfect for our family. Close to national parks and Hopkins, yet quiet and removed from noise and crowds. The home was very nice and comfortable. Having AC after hot hiking days was so nice. The best part was the hosts, Josh and Karen. They were so helpful and kind. We loved our interactions with them. We hope to return in the future.

Great place, the dogs next door could be very loud often and early.

We really liked the stay at Maureen's place. The house is located on a peaceful estate. Toucan House definitely lives up to its name as we saw those beautiful birds everyday. Local caretaker Josh was ever so helpful. He would assist with anything you ask and recommended some interesting local places. The accommodation had everything you could want. Even a garage! Beds were comfy, a/c was working properly. The kitchen and the bathroom had all amenities. If you look for a place near Hopkins, but tranquil and in nature, look no further, this is it!

Stayed for almost a week and felt right at home! The guest house was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with everything that I needed for the days I cooked at home. The neighborhood was friendly and quiet. The property manager, Josh, was incredibly helpful, patiently answered all of my questions and gave me tips on where to find the best gelato this side of Italy! I will be back and highly recommend it to others!

An absolutely delightful home, yard, neighborhood and area!! Josh/Karen were fantastic!! Maureen was excellent!! We had privacy, peace and were surrounded by nature and enjoyed a lovely home ❤️

Our stay at the Toucan House was terrific and exactly what we needed after being on road for 3 months, it was very peaceful and private for some R & R. We were welcomed by Josh, who was very friendly and knowledgeable of the area provided great recommendations. The property is surrounded by beautiful nature- to watch the toucans and other wildlife. The Sittee River is very close for a nice walk. Property is fully fenced and gated which allowed our dogs to run around freely which they loved. Property is well maintained and very clean and comfortable. The screened in back patio is perfect to have your coffee in the morning and watch all the birds. Close to Hopkins for restaurants etc. highly recommend.
