This is a charming place on the river, beautifully set out in both the public areas and in our individual room. Because it is on the river/jungle edge we had to contend with mosquitoes (a spray or citronella oil might have helped) and a slightly damp smell in our room but perhaps this is unavoidable given the setting. The host was charming and attentive and the breakfasts were fine.

We had a very nice room in the middle of nature and were able to see everything with a rented kayak in the area. The food was very good but very expensive. We never paid that much in Guatemala. Unfortunately, it was forbidden to bring food and drinks.

We got a chilly reception . We wanted to leave right away, even though it looked beautiful. Restaurant is cozy, were the only guests. The food was very tasty, one of us got sick, not clear if this was due to the food. The cook helped us a lot in an accident in Rio Dulce. She was really friendly. It's crazy that we have to pay separately for the kayak
