Karen

Karen’s place was very beautiful, convenient, and affordable. We arrived at SJO at 12am and drove down to her place which was about 3 hours. She was kind enough to let us check in extremely early upon our arrival which meant the world to us after our long day of travel. I would recommend this place to anyone. It is very close to the activities that La Fortuna has to offer. Karen was very attentive to our needs and she was kind enough to offer discounted prices on some of the tours in La Fortuna.

My partner and I travelled for the first time in Costa Rica, we lend at Liberia and Karen organized us the transport from the airport to her Airbnb. Our driver was friendly and of trust. We arrived late at night but Karen waited for us for the check-in. The place was clean and cozy. Hot water for the showers. Cuter in person than in pictures. Karen guided us through the possible activities around. She even booked an activity for us and the transport for our way to Monteverde. I do recommend it, it’s a jeep,boat,jeep, it’s worth it for the view and a faster trip instead of going around the lake. The view on the volcano was incredible. There is a restaurant, ice cream bar and a depanneur in front of the Airbnb. Karen took care of us, she went above and beyond to help us have the perfect time. Thank you for the experience!

Beautiful location overlooking the Arenal and close to the National Park and (very nice and relatively cheap) Choyin Spa. Karen is a sweet and very helpful host, who lent us extra stuff to make some food. The cabin was much smaller than the term 'whole apartment' and the photo suggested. Despite the central location, we therefore do not find the price-quality ratio to be right.

Cute cabins with beautiful environment and views of the volcano, had all necessities, great communication and friendly host, overall very happy with choice of location (beautiful, peaceful, close to national park and other things to do in the area).

We had a wonderful time at Karen's place. We especially liked that it was away from the tourist chaos, but central to everything. Karen is a great host, and she worked hard to arrange some last-minute bookings for us. The rooms are lovely and have an awesome view of the volcano. Highly recommended!

Very close to all the places tourists are there to see. 5 minutes from Eco Termalas and an easy drive to La Fortuna. Great view of Arenal!

Great location! Karen is so kind and welcoming. The area is quiet despite a busy road. Wonderful birdwatching right outside. Calm and peaceful setting with views of the volcano.

Karen's cabins are located in a quiet sector between the bustling (too touristic, if you ask me) town of La Fortuna, and Volcán Arenal National Park, allowing for quick access to multiple attractions. There is a great "soda" (typical, cheap restaurant with local dishes) just across the street, as well as a couple of stores with groceries and basic needs. Even though the cabin did not have a kitchen, there are dishes and silverware to eat take-out food. Karen was very responsive to all of our questions and needs.

Amazing view, Uber available and cheap from the place. Soda La palma with cheap and great food. Karen was a great host. She helped me with all I needed. Thank you for amazing stay 🫶

Karen was amazing!! Very very friendly and there were always people around cleaning up the grounds. The view of the volcano was stunning!

This was a lovely place to stay in the Arenal area. The cabins are clean, cozy, in a peaceful area, and have beautiful views of the volcano and surroundings. You can hop across the street to a local store and restaurant, and all of the sights are within a very short driving distance. We woke up every morning to the sights and sounds of toucans, hummingbirds, and all sorts of other natural wildlife. We even heard howler monkeys in the distance. Karen always responded to requests at lightening speed and was kind and gracious throughout our stay.

Super nice view and place to stay

Karen was very sweet and helpful. The views of Arenal Volcano were amazing and it was fairly close to lots of nature activities. We were happy to be a bit away from the crowds in downtown La Fortuna, but it was still very easy to access by car. Beware of insects outside the cabin/by the door, but this is to be expected in CR. Overall highly recommend!
