Great communication and checking in was seamless. I stayed very busy visiting with my family during my stay. The condo was very nicely decorated, very clean and enjoyable. There is air conditioning in the main bedroom and it was not too hot during my stay, my only suggestion is to have additional air conditioning in the other rooms for when it’s hot and humid at night. It definitely makes sleeping more comfortable. Giovanni is a great host and the location was nice for spending time with my family close by. The balcony view is beautiful and peaceful. Security here is impeccable!!!

De igual manera tampoco le recibiríamos nuevamente, usted es una persona intransigente y grosera, adicionalmente nuestro hospedaje siempre se ha caracterizado por nuestra limpieza y estar impecable, usted no hizo mención de ningún mal olor, ni queja alguna durante su hospedaje y escribe estos comentarios porque no accedimos a que los huéspedes que entraban deberían esperar dos horas para usted quedarse dos horas mas en el hospedaje sin cumplir con la norma de horario de check out. Cuando no hay reservación para el mismo día accedemos sin problema, debe saberlo ya que usted es un host, sin embargo paso por alto la solicitud y se quedo una hora más, teniendo que contratar una persona mas para terminar a tiempo y poder tener listo nuestro hospedaje a la hora del check in

We love this place! We are a family of 4 from the beaches of Guanacaste that compete in equestrian competitions at the very close La Finca Centro Equestre, just off of the "new " highway Ruta 27. The whole concept of this master planned community in Costa Rica is super cool. People walking together, kids riding bikes, swimming all within the guarded gated community. The views are beautiful, looking at the mountains and nearby parks. Parking ample with two designated spots just for us. There are 4 or 5 local restaurants, a pharmacy, gym, pet store, coffee shop, and more plus the awesome Vendí market just a short walk away, literally just out the gate to the community. Even though you are on the fringe of urban Santa Ana, Escazu and SJO, the airport is closer than those areas without all of the traffic! The apartment was great, modern, clean, washer and dryer, pretty balcony, amazing full size Stainless fridge and stove. Everything to make your home away from home. Juan Diego, Giovanna's son was in great contact and very accommodating and professional and also speaks perfect English. We had Silvia the caretaker come twice for our stay to clean up and keep the place sparkling during our 11 night stay. We plan to be back during our next horse events or whenever in the city. Pura Vida!

The place had no internet connected. I work from home so it was crucial for me. Had to work from starbucks for 3 days, then i had to stay at the apartment waiting for someone to possibly come connect it. The place claims to have AC - they do not! One ac unit made in the 80s in the master bedroom connected to the window with a hose, the sound was like sleeping in the tractor, the hose kept falling off during the night. Last day we had to make an emergency stop for medicine so we had to leave 2 hours early, i took pictures of every room and sent it to the owner, left the key at security guard, just to get the message later that day that im getting charged $145 for few stains on the towels! I wish i could attach those pictures here so everyone could see them. This is my first negative review about anything ever! But i refuse to get charged $145 for couple white towels that cost $5 each at the store.

I will respond and take the time to respond carefully to each of your points, which are not true and you do not accept so as not to assume responsibility for the damages caused. There was a general damage to the internet and you were informed by arguing and accepting our part that you could request another accommodation from Airbnb, mentioning that you would wait for the problem to be solved, this is a problem that got out of our hands and yet a solution was given as soon as possible depending on third parties and paying extras. you were the one who decided to stay in the lodging with this limitation. His behavior is very strange when, when he says goodbye, he expresses his satisfaction, comfort and good morning in our lodging and after making the claim he tries to distort and damage our qualifications of excellence. in order not to accept charges for damages caused to elements of the property. The only one who had a bad communication was you on many occasions we wrote to offer our cleaning service without having any response as well as being told that the checkout should be in person. What you hurt, are not five dollar towels as mentioned we have impeccable white hotel towels, leaving spare parts as the apartment has a washing machine, dryer, soap and softeners. The damage was the sheets in the main bedroom completely scratched with a pencil since you stayed with a baby if you report, which took the paint canvas lingerie. They left the window open and stained all the curtains of the secondary bedroom due to the heavy downpours where within the recommendations they were asked to close it with rain since in Costa Rica it rains very hard and every day, these curtains had to be taken down and made deep cleaning so sir can check the sum of the damage, towels, sheets and curtains. Additionally, it should be clarified how little you know about air conditioners, this is a portable unit with great power and it also had fine ceiling fans throughout the accommodation. Unfortunately we gave him the opportunity to stay with us where he does not have a single review or stays with airbnb. You are a dishonest person and you damage our sheets, towels and curtains and for this reason you withdrew from the accommodation if waiting to be received in person, leaving the keys in the door, which caused us a call for attention since this is not allowed

Good points: - Communication was OK with the host - I felt safe (although the place is next to a maximum security prison) - Kitchen had everything we needed - The host leaves little soaps (bad quality, but this is good to have) - WiFi is decent Unfortunately all the good goes away if the host is disrespectful. I normally don't do this, but due to the way I was treated by the host after I left, for future guests' convinience, here you have the not so good part: - There is a weird/bad smell as soon as you enter the apartment, it gets worse in the bathrooms & kitchen/laundry area. When you go outside there is also a terrible smell - we had no clue what it was, but since we were gone all day (only slept there some of the nights) we did not pay so much attention to this. - The master bedroom has a portable AC that has a tube attached to a window (looks terrible), when we turned it on the first night, the tube had an air leak, and a few min after it was running it felt out of the window, and my husband had to put it back in (properly). It sounds very loud as well. - Host communicates through WhatsApp, and not the AirBnB official messages (kind of a privacy issue for me as they will get your phone number). - The bathrooms' glass doors are dirty, as well as the floor. Looks like they don't clean them that often. - Beware if you have dyed hair, you CAN'T wash your hair in this place if you have red, purple, green, pink, blue, yellow, orange or even black dyed hair, as the host will charge you for everything you use after you wash it (they don't tell you you can't wash your hair before). - I have dyed my hair red since years, and as always, I wash it in every hotel or Airbnb I stay (with no issues from the property's owners). The towel will always get red after I dry my hair (if white), but with a proper wash (with the right products, the red will wash off easily! - at home it's always the case as well). Because I am an honest person I told her about the towel, she charged me $14 & I agreed to pay for that. Well, this host was so alarmed by the poor quality towel she had (made in Colombia as per the label) that she went crazy with minimal stains that I never saw in the bathroom cheap carpet & the bed sheet (all of them white), do they even know what bleach is?? - After we left, I felt the host was stalking me through WhatsApp trying to rip me off asking for money to pay for a carpet, a towel & a sheet. She tried to charge me $120 to order all of that through Amazon, even tried to charge me the cost of shipping those things from the US to Costa Rica haha :) I paid for the towel only (And I shouldnt have to). So she will try to charge for ANYTHING! - She never sent me pictures after they washed those things (did they even do it? Or they just needed new towels, sheets, and carpets and thought I would pay for them?) Haha - She sent me voice messages from the girl that "cleans" her apartment & I felt harrased, they were accusing me of dying my hair there, I would NEVER do something like that, I don't dye my hair myself, always use a salon back home haha ! I really felt terrible, it was voice message after voice message in WhatsApp, felt like I was talking to a mad 5 year old kid. I had to block her, I talk to people that respect me, as I always show respect back, I don't allow people to accuse me, and treat me the way she did, specially if they don't even know me. - She was also contacting me 2 days before our checkout pressuring me to tell her our checkout time?? I mean, this really has not happened to me before, privacy please.... Then, because she told me there were other guests coming at 3 pm the day we had to leave, I told her we would be gone by 11 (she almost begged us to do so, cause the girl had to "clean" for the new guests). But we were actually ready around 10 30, so I told her we were leaving at that time in a message. She then told me we did not wait for her cleaning lady?? Haha why would we want to wait for her? First she never told us to wait for her, second, I have no interest on waiting for anyone I don't know in my vacation, specially on a hotel or Airbnb. You go out with your belongings before the checkout time & that's it! - Feedback for improvement? 1) Please use quality products to wash your bed sheets & towels! Use bleach!! What happened to me talks a lot about how "clean the place was", you use cheap products that just don't do the job. 2) If you don't want people with dyed hair there, just let us know in advance, or use dark color towels, carpets, sheets, so that you don't go stalking us asking for unreasonable amounts of money. 3) Don't ask for a checkout time if you know 11 am is your guest's right 4) Be careful on how you treat your guest's because we're the best marketing you'll have for your property. Be respectful, learn how to talk to your customers. 5) We were always careful & clean in your apartment, we even left the trash bags ready for disposal for your cleaning lady lol And you still tried to rip us off with something so silly! Try to learn

Gorgeous view of a spacious 2 br 2 bath condo with a bonus TV room. There is a great shopping area just a few 100 yards away with a supermarket, pharmacy and 4 restaurants. The WiFi is fast and is included. It is located in a VERY safe neighborhood near the main highway to downtown San Jose.

The place was very nice, especially for the price. Neighborhood was very friendly and quiet. Convenient store and a few restaurants only a couple minute walk away. Only had one issue with the WiFi, it worked fine the first day, but then didn't want to work after that. It wasn't a big deal for me, since I had a data plan on my phone anyway. The host was quick to respond about it, and said she would contact the internet provider, but it did not get fixed during my stay. Other than that minor issue, it was a great stay, and would do stay again.

We stayed in Giovanna´s place for a long weekend. Check-in was at 4pm and was super easy. She was very communicative throughout the process. When there was confusion about where to park (a bit far from the building), she helped clear up the confusion for us. The building is accessed by a key code as well as the apartment, making it very easy to come and go and not worry about actual keys. The apartment is on the 6th floor (there is an elevator) and very stylishly decorated. There is a balcony with sliding glass doors (no screen, so be careful at night with insects) and has a beautiful view of two mountain ranges. It was a great place for coffee in the morning. There is a kitchen with some basic supplies, coffee maker, microwave, stove, some cookware, etc. There is a laundry room attached to the kitchen where we were able to watch the bath towels (we only had 2 for three of us, but we were able to wash and dry them, so no worries). I am sure there were more and we just needed to ask. At one point, she had someone come to give us paper towels and trash bags which helped a lot. The apt has two very nice bedrooms and a TV room for my daughter to hang out in. The shops and restaurants are a short walk away. There is a pool right outside her building that we didn´t take advantage of. It was rainy season. We had a lovely time at Giovanna´s and hope to come again soon.

The accommodation is exactly as the description super safe and of great quality the only one but it is something far away, the best choice is to wash car since the distances are somewhat long

Giovanna's apartment is very comfortable. Stylish furnishings, top quality washer/dryer, and proximity to the highway make this a very comfortable place for anyone visiting San Jose. The apartment complex has great security and lots of nice places to take walks. There are a couple of stores that are part of the apartment complex but having a car definitely opens up options for shopping/activities if you don't want to take the bus. Giovanna was very prompt in all her communications and we appreciated the flexibility with check in/out. Thank you!!

Location, cleanliness and security was excellent. I was visiting from out of country and anticipated cooking almost all my meals. So, if you are a cook, I'd say the kitchen, though beautiful, was sparsely equipped. The best knife had a 12 cm (4") blade that was blunt; four spoons, no large pots, etc. Post-arrival communication by host was completely absent. Was told to communicate only to the cleaning maid. TV was out during our ten day stay. Air conditioning units were not vented. Essentially blowing hot air back in to the living space. Finally check out was chaotic. After confirming a scheduled 10am departure, the maid went radio silent and didn't arrive until after 11am, completely messing up our next engagements for the day, resulting in an expensive Uber ride to downtown SJO. The silver lining; I came back to the US with a new pot and a large kitchen knife!

However, it should be noted that I received several calls from him which he immediately responded to, just like the whatssapp. I invite you to review please and confirm what I mention, since I have taken the time and your questions were always answered. Your comment about the air conditioning I think was the way they used it since it is working 100%. As for your need for a bigger knife, it does not mean that there are not the necessary elements and still some more that are no longer basic. This is an apartment for up to three people and it is a holiday apartment. You mentioned a delay when you delivered the apartment, I offered you an apology and you already took the corrective but it can be said that upon arrival we deliver in total confidence on your request to a third party who is not the one who took the reservation and had to pay three overtime to my assistant for the arrival delay of the person who received it. All our guests from different parts of the world have given an excellent concept and have even returned for the type of accommodation.

Giovanna's home was GREAT. The home is in a gated community and you have to go through two different security gates to get to the home. The building also requires a code for entry. The home was extremely safe. There's a grocery store and restaurants on the property. The home was clean and looked EXACTLY like the pictures. There's a nice pool downstairs and a park. I would recommend staying here. The home is about 25-30 minutes from the airport depending on traffic.

At the end of our 3 week vacation, we decided to stay a few days in San Jose. Giovanna's place is outstanding. You really feel like you're in someone's summer home, not a guest house. The amenities, the tastefully elegant decorations, great kitchen, washer/dryer and club like amenities downstairs, make this the nicest place we found. It also happens to be very convenient to everything we wanted to do, yet was in an upper income area, so we felt like we were not only safe, but like we were part of the in crowd of Costa Rica. Highly recommend Giovanna's place.

This was a great place with a few restaurants and a grocery store right next door. Security guards let you in and out and created a safe feeling. The apartment is stylish and clean with a wonderful view and fresh juice upon arrival!
