Such a beautiful place. Very peaceful and relaxing. We loved seeing all the toucans and other beautiful birds. We also saw some monkeys, coati and agouti. Hiking to the waterfalls was special and they were so pretty. Also the lost pools. We enjoyed the spectacular sunsets by the pool. We had a breakfast and a dinner prepared by locals chefs that were so amazing. Everything in the house was good. Hilly and Mariela gave us great suggestions for activities and restaurants. We enjoyed our stay so much and hated to leave.

Beautiful place! We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home. The driveway up is a little steep but totally manageable with a 4x4, and worth it for the incredible views! It was very peaceful and even though you are up a dirt road it’s well maintained and that portion of the driveway is very short. It’s quite quick to get into town and see the attractions. The waterfall is just a short walk down and trail and so pretty! We did not want to leave the place was so beautiful.

The land/outdoors/pool are truly beautiful and wonderful. The view is breathtaking. The house is lovely, though it can get a bit warm. The location is close enough to town/the beach. The drive as all say is very steep and a bit tricky but doable. We were given slightly different location instructions that showed a different sign than is currently up. But my only real complaint is that we experienced a couple power outages which we were told was totally normal and happened a lot. And yet this was not in the listing. This is a scary prospect when no power = no WiFi = no connection to the outside world in case of emergency, beyond driving a long way out. It is 100% something that should be in the listing so people can decide the risk they want to take, and so they can know what’s going on if the power does go out.

Truly excellent. We have been using Airbnb for 15 years and this was definitely a top-3 stay. The house is spacious, very comfortable and impeccably clean. The grounds are beautiful and very private (we didn't hear anything but the sounds of wildlife over our 10-day stay), with well-maintained trails leading to waterfalls and epic swimmable jungle pools. And Hillary is such a great host: friendly, flexible and responsive. If you want to be immersed in the "wild" Costa Rica while enjoying a very nice, well-equipped house, this is your spot.

A wonderful place to relax. Up in the mountain surround by lush green trees and vegetation. Private waterfall accessible thru a short hike. Lots of wild birds, butterflies and sound of the waterfalls to calm your senses. No noisy neighbours. Be aware that you need a 4x4 to get to this location because of the steep stretch towards the end. The driveway is quite steep. have 4 wd and set to low gear and you should be good. For the first time, it is better to get there before dark. especially the last entry into the driveway is a steep downhill road and is hard to miss. Hillary did send detailed directions and pictures . But still we missed the last one and had to turn around once we realised. Use the google locations she sends out for the turn out from free way and the final location. Glass doors all around and very nicely furnished with all amenities. One of the bathroom water had to be shutdown and Hillary did point this out before we arrived. was not an issue for us.
