The house was adorable and exactly as described. It was actually more perfect in person. We saw monkeys every day that we stayed, frogs, tucans and the location was just perfect! The pool was beautiful and peaceful and everything I could ask for! We would def stay again!!!! The kitchen had everything we needed. She had fun games and recommendations for things to do and places to eat! We loved it!

Loved this bungalow! Such a nice view from the windows. Surrounded by trees, flowers. birds and cicadas! Spacious bathroom, well decorated rooms, plenty of beds. Walkable distance from the main road to take the public bus either to Manuel Antonio or to Quepos. Just lovely!

The Host is absolutely fantastic. The house is older, but it is in a very fun jungle setting, private but close to everything. There were two downsides the tight and narrow spiral staircase to get to the main bedroom (we could not get our luggage up to the bedroom); and the pots and pans for cooking were quite old, warped and scratched up. This is an easy fix. The grounds around the property contain lots of beautiful foliage and flowers. We would stay here again.

Britt's Toucan House was the most homey stay of all three AirBnB's we used on our trip to Costa Rica. It just felt like our own private home. She is a very gracious host and took the time to meet us at the house to go over the check in procedure and any other details and questions we had. It is very spacious and comfortable with lots of room for a large family. We loved the shared community pool. The location is perfectly situated between Quepos and Manuel Antonio, so there is plenty to see and do and eat within a very short drive. Some restaurants and bars are even walkable. If we return, we will absolutely contact Britt to stay again at her family home.

Wow! Britt has an amazing space to base out Manuel Antonio adventures from. House was cool and comfy. We had white faced moneys right outside our front door in the trees. Saw red Macaws and toucans while enjoying a beverage on the front porch and at the pool. What a cool place! Thanks Britt! We will be back.

I have nothing but good things to say about Britt’s property and my experience staying there. From the jump, she was very helpful in trying to arrange an earlier check in and she gave us a lot of helpful tips and recommendations. The Airbnb itself is colorful and well equipped! We loved our stay and definitely recommend it :)

I am so glad I ignored the one bad review and went ahead and booked this place. We recently spent a few nights at Britt's place and had a wonderful time. We saw a sloth as soon as we arrived and were very surprised at how close it was! We also saw several monkeys throughout our stay. The place itself is so charming, clean, and very thoughtfully equipped with everything you can think of. There are many restaurants within walking distance and a short drive to downtown Quepos and Manuel Antonio National park. Britt was an extremely helpful and responsive host. I highly recommend!

We had a lovely stay at Casa Toucan. Britt was responsive throughout, and extremely helpful in arranging tours and coordinating transportation. The house itself is as described - it might not meet everyone’s needs, but for us, the setting was well worth the compromise of not having separate bedrooms (there are curtains between the beds upstairs). The kitchen was the best equipped we came across in Costa Rica; beds (including the futons on the main floor) were super comfortable; quality linens. Although the AC is only on the upper floor, we found it was sufficient to cool the whole house. The pool and patio were both lovely, and we definitely enjoyed the visits from monkeys and macaws! We loved that the house felt like a true taste of Costa Rican life.

We had a really good time in Casa Tuscan. First of all, it is in a beautiful location between all beautiful plants and it is very quiet there. It was teeming with animals. So we saw death's head monkeys (they ran over our roof several times), capuchin monkeys, geckos, toucans, squirrels, and even a sloth climbed over the rails in front of the window! 🤩This was a really great experience. The house itself has all the comforts: we lacked nothing and we cooked every night in the fine kitchen. It is super cozy and it is even better than the pictures. Due to the air conditioning and the various fans, it is good to stay inside. A very nice extra was the pool which we often used with great pleasure🏊♀️. We were always the only guests who used the pool and this was really wonderful to start and end the day. Finally, Britt was a very nice host who responded quickly! Thanks Britt for the nice experience

Pros: - clean - Very close to downtown Quepos - Beautiful interior - quiet & safe - The shower is INCREDIBLE - Super helpful, versatile ameninities. - The host donates whatever food you buy and don’t use to a local homeless community. - AMAZING pool!! - Britt is a super helpful, communicative, kind host. Cons: - Laundry is $10 dollars per load. - There are no bedrooms. - The downstairs beds become the living room. If you want a living room space, you have to clear off and slide in the beds each day to get it. - The AC struggles to cool the downstairs, so if you sleep hot, the only really comfortable place to sleep is upstairs - It’s difficult to get your suitcases up the narrow spiral staircase. - There’s apparently no way to lock the door from the outside without also locking people in on the inside. - The “covered carport” parking advertised in the photos isn’t available; it’s for owner use only. Overall: Great stay! We recommend this spot, unless you need more privacy and space.

We stayed at Britt’s right before Xmas and had a nice experience there. Britt helped us plan our visit to the area and had helpful suggestions. She was also a great communicator and seemed appropriately priced for the area and property. The beds downstairs and upstairs fit the needs of our family/party of 5 pretty perfectly. Beds were comfortable enough. The kitchen is small but has your basic needs. Location is right in the middle of things.

Casa Tucán is a surreal rustic experience that takes you into the jungle where you can see monkeys, toucans, scarlet macaws and other wildlife roaming about. The house was a perfect home away from home, beds were fresh, clean and comfortable. There’s a nice sized pool in the neighborhood. I’ve taken a little walk during the night and you can see cool frogs sometimes. The kitchen had all of the utensils you need for your stay. You won’t go wrong with this place and Britt makes sure that your stay is comfortable and memorable with great recommendations for great food and activities in the area. She makes it personable by meeting you at the house at a time that works best for you and making sure you feel at home. I fell in love with the place the first time last year and fell in love again this year! This place is really beautiful and affordable with good proximity to restaurants, Manuel Antonio and other excursions!
