3BR Home in Granada

Roland

Excellent, 9 months ago

Was a great home and a great place to stay

I can't wait to stay here again the next time we visit Granada. The house is relatively quiet (for being in a city). Everything we needed was within a 15 minute or less walk and the majority of attractions we wanted to see were also no more than 20-25 minutes away. The local market is close, there are many good restaurants to choose from, and Granada is a fascinating and beautiful city. The house is fantastic - very private and secure, has everything you could possibly need, and the pool gave welcome relief from the heat! We very much enjoyed our stay!

The place matched the photos, but unfortunately the pool garden area meant a LOT of mosquitos and other bugs around. Lines of leaf cutter ants, swarms of flying ants, dozens of birds swooping through the courtyard at dusk, and mosquitos afternoon to morning.. The house was nice, but unfortunately one of the air conditioners broke and they couldn't get a repair in time, but those things can happen. However, the coffee maker was gross, had mold and old grounds collecting in it so I had to give a deep clean. Either the funky coffee or odd smelling filtered water gave us ill effects the first day, so we switched to bottled water and problem solved. Busy road outside so there's a lot of traffic noise for 2 bedrooms. No parking nearby, it's 150cord for secure park at fire station. Lastly, didn't feel safe after property managers warnings to not answer door and the 4 extra jolts to lock the door. Wanted to love it, but didn't quite deliver.

This AirBnB is proof that amidst the hustle and bustle of humanity, God is everywhere. A trip to Granada, Nicaragua is to not only dip your toes into a long forgotten Spanish Colonial bastion, but to witness its enoblement of future generations. This house is an oasis to assimilate the world outside its doors on your own terms. The Master bedroom's king-sized bed, copious private bathroom, and powerful air conditioning will fight you to keep you in their loving embrace - don't let them. If you lay in the pool, and stare at the sky - the smell of the nearby coffee shop will occasionally waft over the smell of the flowers of the garden, the symphony of church bells from the church next door will inspire your devout meditation, and in the middle of the night - a pageant of silent starry skies. NO POWER OUTAGES, THIS HOUSE IS CPAP FRIENDLY. The owner is is a joy, and the house manager, Alvaro, is an ecyclopedic map to local treasures you did not know existed. This AirBnB was built for you!
