A very luxurious house, great local support by Aleck. Spacious cooling pool, great to have dishwasher and washing machine (not usual in CR). A few downsides: WiFi didn’t work (bad luck), tap on kitchen sink didn‘t really work well. Way to beach is longer than you expect when looking at the map. Need to go allround for ten minutes, really naughty that the street ends in a cul-de-sac and neighbours didn’t even allow a footpath.

We - a family of four - had a really awesome time in Joannas Place :-) The location is pretty perfect if you are keen on surfing as Playa hermosa is just a 5 min walk away :-) Alecks was very attentive and helpful during our stay. We would definitly book it again.

Lot is beautiful, shaded and in a great location. Laura, the host, was great. All of the staff were great and kept the place spotless. Kitchen is decent; pots and pans could use an upgrade. Needs another couch; a loveseat for 5 people? Extremely noisy during the day with nonstop construction. Bedrooms comfortable. Laundry access a plus.

This house was perfect for a weeks family vacation with 2 adults and 2 kids. The house is exactly as described and how it looks in the pictures. The beach is an easy walk away as are a little market and 4 casual restaurants. Our local host Laura was AMAZING, super responsive, super helpful with helping us book an ATV and cabs as well as local recommendations. We will 100% be back!

We really loved the location of this Airbnb in Hermosa Beach; it was super convenient for everything we wanted to do. The place was generally in decent shape. The main thing we noticed was that the comforter—or really the top sheet layer—felt a bit thin, so the bedding wasn’t quite as cozy as we expected. Also, the key situation with the different doors was a bit confusing and never really got simpler during our stay. But overall, it still worked out fine for what we needed. Thanks to the Joanna for being a great host!

Regarding the keys, we would just like to clarify that there are two key boxes by design: one for the front gate and one for the main door. This setup is quite common here and allows guests to access each area independently, which also adds an extra layer of security. We understand that it may feel unfamiliar at first, and we appreciate your comment. As for the bedding, Costa Rica has warm weather year-round, so we usually provide lighter bedding rather than thick duvets. That said, extra blankets are available upon request. Please also note that the air conditioning temperature can be fully adjusted by guests, so you’re always welcome to modify it to your personal comfort during your stay. Everything was good, good value for money. The house is newly built and nicely decorated. The layout, with the master bathroom downstairs and the bedrooms upstairs, was not very comfortable because we were two couples. Maybe for a family it's more convenient. It could be better equipped for cooking. Very kind to let us in before the usual time.

Villa Mango is a great vacation home. The house is very close to the ocean; walkable for most. There is a market, surf rentals, and a few restaurants and cafes - all within walking distance. Our host, Laura, was proactive and responsive. We were traveling internationally and to a new location. She provided helpful tips and links before and during our stay. It was wonderful to have a "local" guiding us. A few notes to share. Playa Hermosa is getting a lot of attention. For the foreseeable future, there will be some construction in the area. Be ready for it - some noise and big trucks ' be it next door or a few blocks over. Luckily, with windows/doors closed, it was not too intrusive. The only other item to elevate is that the bed in the downstairs room is a small twin. This room is set up as an office. The "bed" looks and feels more like a chaise lounge. Be clear with the host to ensure they understand how you plan to use the room. Book Villa Mango!! Thank you Laura!!!

The house was beautiful and situated in a fantastic area. The host was responsive and made check-in a breeze. The place was clean, tidy, and well-appointed. We highly recommend this place and would love to stay again. The location was convenient, just a quick walk to the beach and near our favorite restaurants.

We loved our stay in Playa Hermosa! The villa was so spacious, comfy and clean. You have everything you wish for and Laura also got us some wine, that was very nice! :) Would highly recommend this place! The beds are so comfy too!

We had a great stay at Casa Mango. The pictures were accurate and the place was spotless Laura the host was flawless, she’s was constantly available - giving us suggestions and advice through out our stay, very attentive and made our stay so much more enjoyable with the use of local knowledge.
